This is a very good budget hotel in the middle of the old town. Location is somewhat quieter than many in this area being a few blocks up from the waterfront area where nightclubs keep it noisy late, which is a bonus for me. I have stayed here for a month in the past and found the staff to be exceptionally friendly. The rooms vary from outside rooms facing the street to interior rooms facing into the courtyard. I choose outside rooms for more quiet. Overall, very good value for old town. I have it as a clean and friendly place to stay every time.

Not for the people who want a generic hotel this one has character. A great walkable location and my room with a kitchenette and balcony was great. Not for the faint of heart top floor requires three sets of stairs and no elevator but it was worth it.
The open air windows to the courtyard area made it a bit noisy.

Great location, reasonable price, fresh coffee, prompt room cleaning.
like so many of the older hotels, maintenance is marginal. if something breaks, they will try to jimmy-rig it back together. if it is something that can’t be easily fixed and it’s not necessary, they just leave it. Examples are broken curtain rods, loose faucets, loose door handles, etc.

Great location. Clean rooms, clean common areas.
The wifi isnt available in all rooms, only the common areas. The roof access is great, but not suitable if you and some friends wanna enjoy a night on the roof, noise easily gets into the other rooms and someone will ask you to leave.

It’s a reasonable price. Staff is always friendly. It’s my go to place to stay and is walking distance of everything I like to have access to

It would be a $15-$20 a night hotel in most Mexican cities, but for Vallarta, this place is great value for money! Staff was very friendly and the location is excellent. Room was cleaned daily
Early morning construction and loud noise in and around the hotel, but that wasn't an issue for me as I wanted to wake up early and my alarm wasn't loud enough anyways!

roof terrace was to die for! lovely views of the city and mountains and it was huge!
at night they lock the doors and you need to wake up a staff member sleeping in lobby to let you in but this is SUPER TYPICAL for PVR. it’s safer I guess
