I give the personell an 8 but that's strictly for the manager, who actually came down to the bus station and picked me up personally (after I phoned him, while negotiating with a greedy cab driver). That was a first timer, amazing service. One of the staff (tried to) short-change me, which is alway slightly irritating. If only she'd apologised it would've been fine, but nothing. The room was spacious and the bed good. There's an OXXO and other kiosks and eateries a few blocks away.
It's far away and over the hills, literally. To begin with I thought that was a bummer, wanting to be closer to the downtown scene. However I came to realise it was actually an advantage after I took a trip downtown and saw the extreme tourist situation there (everyone talks to you in English assuming that's your first language even though sometimes you're a Norwegian!), hawaii shirts and mojitos everywhere, totally not Mexico at all. So yeah, I was happy up in the hills. Down and dirty with the locals.

Nice relax place, you can take a bus to city center, it's about 40 - 50 minutes. Everywhere it's very safe, in night too. Czech Republic in central Europe it's more dangerous then here :) Every peoples are very frendly and helpfull, like in all places in Mexiko which i visited. I can say only that: I'll try to learn spanish and I must comeback...

This was my 2nd stay - mountain views & sunsets over the beach in the distance were a real plus! As ever, staff were very personable & helpful. Would definitely stay there again.
Neigborhood dogs barking can be annoying. Some out of town holiday travelers set off several large fireworks (M - 80s?) that were very loud and off-putting. Occasional local rubbish fires tainted the air with smoke.
