-Old and noisy beds. - 10-15 min walk to centre could be inconvenient for short stays. - Kitchen could be small on peak hours, e.g: breakfast.

The room was big and clean. Good outside area with table and chairs for eating. Kitchen was fully equipped and 10 minutes walk from the centre so nice and peaceful. Laguna Bacala really is a beautiful stretch of water and well worth a trip out on. Top tip for ATM , there is a Santander ATM at Willy,s super market on the main highway opposite Ado bus stop. All the others in town were out of action.

Wi-fi was a bit hit and miss while we were there making things a bit awkward to organise.

The rooms are simple and clean ,good aircon , Use of kitchen handy .

Good budget hotel in a quiet clean neighbourhood with use of a kitchen. The staff are friendly and the rooms clean.

Unfortunately for some reason one of our matresses dissappeared on day 2 of 4 so one of us had to sleep on a bare spring matress. I did enquire and was told the cleaner had spilt something on it and it would be back the same day, but it didn't re-appear. Can be a bit noisey if other guest are sat out in the diing area.

Loved the location, only 10minute walk into the centre and 5 minute walk to one of the public piers on the lake. Lots of local shops and eateries around. The accommodation itself was very clean, rooms were spotle as was the communal area. The kitchen was very well stocked. We had everything we needed to make breakfasts and lunch. It was kept nice and clean. The property has WiFi and it was good enough to work on which says a lot! Also the gentleman in reception was so lovely and kept checking in on us to offer clean towels and toilet roll etc. We were very happy with our stay especially as a family of four with a young toddler.

No complaints, just a heads up for others! If you need hot water you have to let it run for a while. The shower head was slightly broken so zero pressure, not even enough to wash your hair properly! When we arrived (3.30pm) no one was at the property. But they had sent us a message on Booking with the door number and left the key in the door for self check in. We noticed others arrive and the same thing happened to them. We had to tell them to check their Booking.com messages. The other guests were sitting unaware for over an hour. So if you do arrive make sure to connect to the WiFi and check your messages.

Good budget hotel, perfect for a couple. Very clean and comfortable. Facilities are basic but it really has all you need. Very quiet and safe area, only a short walk to the centre (around 10 mins). They allowed us to store our bags until evening on the check out date as we had a late bus. Recommended.

There isn’t really a reception so if you have questions or are in need you just have to be lucky finding someone around but we didn’t really have problems.

This accommodation is amazing! We would recommend it a 100%! Rosa (one from the staff team) was so friendly and helpful, the staff team cleans your room every 1-2 days, the location is great as it is very near to the lagoon. One of the owner (I think it was Roberto) is every day there as well and very welcoming! The shared kitchen is well equipped. We felt so comfortable there that we extended our stay even twice (without any problems). Again, a 100% recommendation!!!

This place is the best! We stayed here the latter half of our week in bacalar as a backpacking couple and it was such a nice place to reset and unwind. The rooms are simple but great with ac and your own bathroom, there is a kitchen to use and a nice outdoor space. They will even clean your room for you during your stay upon request. We really appreciated villa carmita

If you’re on a budget as a couple, this hotel is perfect for the low price!! Has everything you need, very clean, and the women that work there are lovely and we’re happy to help with anything we needed!

The only downfall is that it’s a 20 minute walk into the centre, but that’s not a major issue

What a find! Just outside the castle walls with very short walk to the main gates. The hotel was fabulous, spotlessly clean and the staff were extremely polite and helpful. We were a party of 13 (attending a wedding near by) and Audrey and her team were most helpful in arranging our taxis, advising us on the best restaurants and booking us tables. Breakfast was endless, with staff replenishing the food as quickly as our party of 13 ate it! The attention given to us regarding a dietary requirement was second to none !
