Hacienda Maria Bonita Hotel

We really enjoyed the following: - Very colorful and quaint decoration, in the room as well on the hotel premices - Great location, at a walking distance from all the shops and restaurants - Good cleaning - Alberto is a friendly staff - Decent WiFi - Bathroom: handy toothbrush hanger and soap support

We didn’t enjoy the following: - hangers missing in the bathroom to put several towels - Lack of ventilation in the bathroom, so it often felt like a sauna, very stuffy air - Very big keys, not handy to carry - Lack of communication about the breakfast offer - Smelly drawers

more than great location, minute to the main pedestrian street and all shops, restaurants, bars...2 min to the beach, 5 min to the ADO bus station...Lovely colored hotel.

room was booked for 3, but towels for only 2, had to go to the reception and remind them...the same another day...receptions doesn't speak english, so no help for directions, or anything else...there is RACCOON at the swimming pool area !? met it twice, 2 nights in a row !

location, decor. nice authentic Mexican touch, very charming.

I was on the 3rd floor, no elevator!, toilet had low water pressure, so sometimes you had to flush it 3 times. pretty crappy towels. no blankets. I know it is hot in Cancun, but at night it could get in the low 60s and a light blanket, would be nice. receptionist was not the most friendly person.

they dont have basics like hot water for making tea or cold water for drinking. also the receptionists werent exactly very welcoming or helpful

We absolutely loved the colours of the hotel. the Pool was great, our room was basic but clean and functional.

no fridge in the room that would have helped not a biggie as we only stayed two nights.

This is very centrally located, for the price you pay, it’s great! Its not the most luxurious stay, but it has everything you need. A good spot to rest your head after a long day. beaches are a short walk. a few gyms near by too and plenty of restaurants. plus for being close to all the bars and clubs it’s pretty quiet but a safe walk home if you do go out. A lot of Mexican style character in the building, I really enjoyed my stay here and recommend this for an affordable central stay.

I wish it had a coffee machine and maybe 2 bottled waters, at least upon arrival. Also not sure if blankets and towels were forgot to be put in my room or if you always have to ask. however they were happy to provide them for me after asking.

Design, location, very comfortable massive bed. Alejandro - door guy, was really nice and helpful.

just 2 hairdryer for all hotel. hotel didnt reply for my request.

The room is large and spacious with a small kitchenette. The location of the hotel is excellent, the breakfast is wonderful and varied and is served in a nearby cafe. There is a nice and pleasant pool to refresh in the hot hours

When we arrived at the hotel in the late evening they gave us a room facing the road and there was noise. The next day we were transferred at our request to another, internal room. The window had a thin curtain that the sunlight came in early in the morning ... During our entire stay at the hotel the rooms were not cleaned !! (The cleaner came every day in the afternoon when we were in the room). Breakfast is served from 07:30 so if an activity is planned early in the morning there is a situation of missing the breakfast. The two receptionists were very unfriendly, usually with a sour face and answered every question as if doing us a favor

Price is very good for the area. Near a lot of restaurants/bars/beach. Alberto from the staff, is very profesional and has been very very nice. Bedrooms are super cute and super cozy. Parking can be available.

Hotels around play music ultra loud, it can be heard from the bedroom. There is a natural ventilation in the bathroom which is not efficient. Curtains on the last floor don’t block much the light

This hotel is the only one on the list with a Mexican vibe. It is on the street next street to Avenida 5, so close to the beach , near bars/restaurants/shopping/money exchange/ADO terminal. Also, right at the corner in front of Coco Bongo which is one of the highlights of our trip. Police patrols at night, we felt so safe our entire stay.

It would have been better if they install lights near the table where hangers are.
