The hotel was excellent, definitely coming back. We checked in with concierge which is different depending on the room booked. It was a bit of a long wait but there were lots of food and drinks while you wait just don’t get too drunk so you can actually check in lol. Food was great. Service was excellent. We ate at most of the restaurants, the only one that was a bit disappointing was the Caribbean and this is only because the menu does not have Caribbean dishes such as jerk chicken and peas and rice. We also visited the spa which was excellent but a bit pricey. We have the couples massage and hydrotherapy. Both are highly recommended and you’ll get the best out of it for your money. We stayed at the terrace jacuzzi room that came with a butler and 25% off spa treatments. Our morning butler Veny was very attentive and check on us multiple times in the day. He made our reservations , always going an extra mile to make us happy. We are also appointed a night butler but we never met or spoke which wasn’t really a problem for us. I wish we stayed at the hideaway away from children and it’s more romantic and gives a private vibes for couples or girls/boys trip. The diamond club beach bar is a but disappointing. I like the swings, cute for pictures. Overall the hotel is really huge , we kept on finding different places and spots each day. The location is far away from the centre/ nightlife what is also known as the hotel zone where you find your attractions, tourist shops and etc. taxi is very expensive $40-50 usd each way. However I felt really safe at the hotel, lots of security and measures to ensure safety.

I loved the actual facilities themselves. I never felt like I was missing something by not being in the city. It was super clean. The staff was super attentive to all the guests and very helpful. I adored the spa! If you have a chance to go to the spa, please go and ask for Bibiana. She was amazing! I’m also very glad everything was included. I didn’t feel left out because I wasn’t a Diamond club member.

The thing that needs work is the staff, food, reservation system. The staff were mostly great but they often forgot about you and your orders. I also don’t drink and sometimes when ordering virgin drinks I could still taste the liquor from previous drinks made in the same blender. The room service always came cold. The buffet food was sometimes cold. Lastly, I’ve been in other all inclusive resorts where the concierge handled all the reservations for the restaurants throughout the day and the restaurants would just receive a list. I think that system would benefit the resort heavily because the restaurants seem to not have a very solid system.

I like the location of the property as well as the property itself. Room service needs to step up and have meals delivered in a more timely fashion.

I loved the bartenders. They prepared the best drinks. My favorites drinks included Purple Rain, Miami Vais, and Strawberry Margarita. The staff was exceptional. The food was so delicious. The restaurants were good. The swim up bar was fabulous. My favorite restaurant was Agave. I also loved the palomas and margaritas. Can’t forget the mojitos. I loved the Aqua Fit classes with Astrid. She made it fun to work out in the pool. On our last night there Chef Daniel and Raul the waiter at Agave made us a free culinary experience 3 course meal. This meal was off the menu. The first course was a Caribbean style ceviche with a Caribbean style salad. The salad had strawberry slices and blueberries. It was garnished with a shrimp breaded with coconut. It was all very well plated. The main course included 2 pineapples stuffed with shrimp and topped with cheese. The cheese was melted on top and was delicious. The main course also had una “parrillada.” This included different kinds of grilled meats. The meat was so tender and juicy. The last course was dessert. Since it was my daughter’s 15th birthday, he made a big cake for us. This was totally a surprise. We had no idea. The cake was also delicious. This treat was only for us. They sang my daughter happy birthday and it was truly amazing. They gave us a to go box for the cake. Chef Daniel and Raul the waiter were truly attentive to our needs. They even gave my daughter a balloon. This amazing experience was all at the Agave Mexican Restaurant. The mini fridge/bar was stocked daily with chips and M&M’s. The rooms were clean. The restrooms were so fresh and clean. The stalls were private.

The butler was meh. He wasn’t truly attentive to my needs.

The property was huge and beautiful. My morning view was amazing. Everyone was welcoming and helpful. Even the other guest were friendly and inviting. The atmosphere was amazing. The spa and hydrotherapy was mind altering (thank you Paulina & Cecilia). The beds were cozy. The rooftop jacuzzi lounge area was over the top gorgeous. Room service was great and delivered hot and fresh. Alphonso at the Diamond Club swim up pool was my favorite bartender. Premium liquor choices everywhere. Beautiful restaurants and even excellent service at the gift shops! Never had an empty glass. Quick access to food when we wanted it. Virtual butler service was super cool and very helpful.

The ground level bridge is in need of repair. A young man cut his foot when one of the boards broke as he was walking across it. I heard several complain about rooftop jacuzzi not working. Ours didn’t either but we just got over it. The Zen restaurant served us the best food all week but I couldn’t eat it because it was unbearably HOT in the restaurant and I couldn’t take it wit me. We had to just leave the food barely touched because the heat was so compressing. I was told we’d have access to the adult only side so I did not change my reservation but we were denied. I don’t blame the resort for the beach and seaweed takeover and funk but I’m grateful we were happy to just lounge around the resort and didn’t even miss the beach.

The location was excellent, right on the beach. The food was very good and there were many different dishes to pick from. The staff was very friendly and helpful. And there were a lot of activities for adults and children.

Had a lot of trouble trying to get ice delivered to the room. Also really got a confusing run around about taking a covid test. Customer Service said we needed an application online to get an appointment by EMAIL....which only ONE of my party received. When actually all we really had to do was walk into the testing facility. Big headache as we were thinking we might have to go very early to the airport to get tested, and were starting to panic a little about having to change our plans by several hours.

I like all the inclusive stuff. the rooms were very nice and the staff was amazing, literally the best staff ever.

I didn’t like the fact that the pool close at 7 pm. specially for the Diamond club and the hideaway side. if we paying Extra then the pool should be open till later or 24/7 maybe. I didn’t like the fact that such a big Resorr like that should provide shuttle to and from the airport

Everything was amazing only had a few minor problems such as our T.V started to not working but they immediately fixed it for us. The all inclusive package was great we tried almost every restaurant available to us for lunch and dinner. Fun night club and great pools.

FYI COVID TESTING PROCESS TOOK US 3hrs to get tested. We were given a window of 9a-2:30p. We arrived at 9:05a. We and many others missed our excursion. If you are returning to the US, plan to get there before 9a to be in the front of the line for your testing completed. They take great measures for COVID safety. Staff were very friendly. My 3yo LOVED the splash pad. We got a swim-out room...very worth it if you have kids who want to keep swimming, but you’re ready to head in. All inclusive drinks/food. There was no liquor in the mini fridge. Don’t bet on the early check-in. You will likely have to wait until 3p, however you will have access to the facilities. Pack a change of clothes or swimsuit in your carry on...because they hold you bags when you arrive.
