Villa Octavia

First time staying at boutique hotel. Happy to support a local business. Host Patricia and staff treated us like we were family visiting their home. Breakfast on the beautiful patio each morning was perfection. Ingredients are fresh each day and included eggs. Great way to start the day. Our room was beautiful with a private outdoor patio. Housekeeping daily had our room refreshed when we returned to the villa each day. The referrals for restaurants and tour company were excellent. The staff is attentive and welcoming. I have recommended Villa Octavia to family and friends. Little Rosita became a best friend 🐾. Truly bonded with everyone at Villa Octavia. So glad we chose Villa Octavia. Lasting memories. I had tears when it came time to say good bye.

The bath, the food, the swimming pool, the kindness of the staff, the breakfast, the parking.

The private swimming pool in the suite wasn’t full and before you can make it full it takes along time. And also we like our privacy a lot, so this is personal but they came into the room quite often, even if you were laying in the bath for example. Some people like this personal touch or attention, so it’s really personal; for us t was too much.

Super friendly & helpful hosts, they recommended great local restaurants and helped us book last minute dinner reservations during the busy Easter weekend. Lovely breakfast, very attentive staff during the entire duration of our short but memorable stay. Secure off street parking although the neighbourhood is very welcoming / safe based on our experience. Comfy beds, nice bed linnen & towels, careful & considerate little touches to meet / exceed guest expectations. Would definately reccommend.

Its an older property with period features so if modern is your thing I'd recommend you look for someplace else. But if individual, warm hospitality and great service, coupled with a comfortable & relaxing ambience is what you're looking for then this is the place.

The staff were wonderful and the feeling of personal touch was really welcoming. The hotel itself has a beautiful style mixing old world and very typical traditional styles - making the whole experience really nice. The are especially dog friendly - much more than any other typical pet-friendly hotel - this was really where the whole stay became more like a home away from home. Service was beautifully friendly with a very welcoming personal touch - more like staying with friends of family than a hotel.

If you're looking for large hotel chain style finishes, and very curated (bordering artificial) spaces, this is not for you. Its definitely more typical of the region, culture and history - but beautifully kept. Also there is no bar / minibar / or alcohol on premises.

beautifully restored villa with incredibly attentive staff and personalized touch. the owner , who manages the property full time is overwhelmingly hospitable and knowledgeable about the town and the different activities near the city. the hotel is very quaint and clean. we had originally booked the small bedroom, but we paid for an upgrade to a larger room when we got there. our room was gorgeous and we had a large outdoor bathtub in the patio as well. it was worth the higher rate. we would go back and highly recommend it.

it was slightly more distant from the main square than I expected.

The staff was wonderful and very accomodating, always making sure I was comfortable and had everything I needed. They were very knowledgeable of the city so they gave me great advice of which places to visit. Elegant breakfast in beautiful porcelain dinnerware was a delightful way to start the day. Nice background music and fresh cut flowers made my stay even sweeter!

The host was gentle and caring, the atmosphere and the room really comfy and beautiful. Position was only 10 mins walking to the center. Breakfast was tasty and delicious. I got a free room upgrade I'm grateful.for and a great massage service. Best experience, absolutely a must for singles and couples.

This little hotel is really fantastic, all the decoration is done with supreme taste and elegance. The staff are marvelously helpful. The guess your every wish. The breakfast is delicious. The swimming pool has a real good size and it’s delightful to relax after a long day of visits to the monuments. Another surprise was the beautiful garden full of a variety of plants and flowers. A place to remember.

The staff was warm and welcoming, the location was central yet quiet, and the property was tranquil and luxe, with great attention to detail and a tasty breakfast too. I would be lucky to stay here again as I felt so well taken care of the whole time.

I don’t leave reviews EVER but wow this place was amazing. More of an experience then just a hotel room. I came solo for my birthday weekend and it was just the most magical and beautiful experience.As a solo female traveler I always felt safe here. highly recommend.
