Holiday Inn Express Amsterdam - Sloterdijk Station, an IHG Hotel

It was very near to Sloterdijk station and flix bus stop. Room was spacious and very clean. Staff was supportive with all queries. They even cleaned the room on 2nd day. Breakfast was also good and had several options.

All good, no issues that we faced

It is very central and easy to find, right next to Sloterdijk station, the staff are always prompt, friendly and helpful, they also accommodated my request of a low floor with no trouble at all, the room was cleaned to a high standard and had everything in that I could expect it to, there is a shop right outside which sells anything you could need for your stay, breakfast whilst more limited than previous visits still had plenty to fill you up, a nice ham and cheese roll with some scrambled egg hit the spot. Price wise it was very affordable and reasonable for 2 nights.

Breakfast options were more limited this time round than previous visits, no pastries, muffins etc

It is handy that the hotel located right beside the train station and trains to the central station run very frequently. The breakfast was good and staff members super friendly and helpful.

I had some trouble with the booking on the platform here and tried to call but several numbers I tried didn't ring or there was no answer. However once I did get hold someone the issue was quickly resolved. The location beside the train station is very good but overall i wasn't sure about the area. There was an incident in front of the hotel one night where people were punching one another and going at it with glass bottles, that made me feel unsafe.

The staff are really friendly and accommodating, good breakfast spread and the rooms are nice and clean. The cleaner gave me plenty of extra coffee sugar and creamer when I asked for some extras for the room which was a nice touch. The location is amazing as well. Go down to the ground floor for access to Sloterdijk station or go to -2 for access to the bus station meaning you have city wide access at your front door. It takes less than 15 mins to travel into the center of town.

The only thing I didn't like was checking out as that means your trip in Amsterdam is over.

This hotel is conveniently located right next to Sloterdijk station, giving you easy transport access to Amsterdam Central, the airport, and trains to other parts of the country / Europe. The staff at the station were very helpful in recommending the best tickets and methods to travel around the city and country. Situated in a business district of Amsterdam, the surrounding areas have a few restaurants and cafes, but you get to avoid the busy tourist crowds of the downtown area. Travelling to Amsterdam Central is easy - it's just a few Euros to get the train to Central in about 5 minutes. The hotel itself is a high-quality Holiday Inn hotel, suitable for business or standard hotel stays. The rooms are spacious, clean, and contain all of the desired amenities. I had a great sleep thanks to the blackout curtains and minimal noise. The included breakfast options were good - the standard meats, cheeses, croissants, fruit etc. The hotel has a generous 12pm checkout, wifi is included and works well, and there is a little shop at reception for travel needs.

My stay was quite flawless. The only thing that might have been improved was that the air conditioning was a bit old fashioned and different really change the room temperature that much, so guests sensitive to room temperature might have some issues.

Excellent location at a transport hub with easy access to trains, buses and trams for travel to Amsterdam CBD. Self-serve breakfast in the dining room met our expectations exactly as we have stayed at Holiday Inn Express hotels previously in other cities.

Not a criticism of Holiday Inn Express in particular, but hotel accommodation in Amsterdam is expensive as we learned when doing research before departing from home. Holiday Inn Express Sloterdijk was the most expensive hotel accommodation per night of any of the places we visited in Europe, although hardly a luxury hotel. But very suitable for our needs as we are not luxury travellers.

Everything is perfect about this hotel. Check-in and check-out was very easy and all necessary info and help was given by the hotel staff, all hotel staff was very helpful and kind, special thanks to Miss Ebru on the reception desk. The breakfast was great and everything you want from a beautiful breakfast was on the breakfast, fresh fruits, bakeries, different types of delicious cheese etc. Very central location because there is a train station in 1 minute walking distance from the hotel entrance and by using trains here you can go to Amsterdam center in 5 minutes, you can also go to other cities of Netherlands from this train station. There is also a bus station in 2 minutes walking distance from the hotel entrance which can be used to go to other cities of Netherlands or other countries. Room was very clean and big enough for comfortable stay, bed and pillow was very comfortable, wi-fi internet connection was very good, the view of the city from the room was also very nice.

Location- Good (train station, food market, Starbucks, bus stations, etc. right next to the hotel) Breakfast - good (I especially liked that you can take coffee with you from breakfast) Room - Nice and clean, quiet and very comfortable mattress and pillows

Maybe on the lower floors the train station noise can be bother you, so you can ask to change room for other side of the hotel. We stayed on the 6th floor so it did not bother us that much.

No warm food for breakfast, but if you like sandwiches - then the food was excellent, enough choices to got through several mornings + decent selection of cereal etc. The room was reasonably quiet, considering transportation flow nearby. Very good location in a transport hub. By train: 2 stops from airport and only few minutes to Central station. Somewhat longer route by tram to city center, but tram stop is also next to hotel.

Could have used more hangers and space for clothes as two persons were sharing a room for couple of days. Take your own shower gel! :D The organic/ecological or whatever shower gel there is may be as nutritious to your skin as a magic, but smells just bloody awful :D :D

The location next to Sloterdijk station made it fantastic for travelling to Schipol Airport and anywhere in Amsterdam itself. The rooms were cleaned every day, the breakfast was wonderful. There is a Spar Supermarket next door for anything you need too. Perfect location perfect

There were a few people hanging about the entrance to the hotel - mainly homeless people but no trouble from them.
