Beautiful location in a park. Large window overlooking a view of trees. Great air conditioning with a large bright bathroom. Very good WiFi service. Friendly staff. Convenient to downtown Amsterdam. Wonderful selection of good restaurants within walking distance.

Having to leave Amsterdam

The WesterVilla was very very cozy and we come back for sure! The staff was very kind, the location very well (bus 21 in front, more after 5-8min walking). We did not try the food, but the restaurant looked very romantic at night.

Wifi could have been better/stronger in our room as well as the smell of a smoking neighbor or so below our window (probably from balcony) was not so nice. But that may have just been a bit unfortunate timing. Rest was just great and a very nice place to stay for a weekend!

Very friendly, helpful staff who were happy for us to leave our luggage prior to check-in and took it up to our room for us while we were out. We could hire bikes from the hotel and when requested, staff provided helpful advice on cycle routes in Amsterdam. The room (Monday room) was an attic space but well laid out and nicely decorated. Very comfy bed!

Stairs up to our room (Monday room) were very steep. I'm short but still managed to hit my head on the low, sloping ceiling beams in the attic room more than once! An IT glitch slowed down our check-,in.

restaurant- very few options . but it is problem in this country - Dutches are perfect in everything , but not in Cuisine. but restaurant was really lovely, romantic, good service , food in time . Steaks were good , but medium rare ( which I think need to be asked before chef decides condition of meat, me myself I love medium well )

When approaching the villa it seems as if you enter a sanctuary from the busy streets of Amsterdam, with lots of open green area around the property. We were greeted by friendly staff and shown to our room which was honestly one of the biggest rooms we've stayed at in the Netherlands. It felt very luxurious and it was very comfortable. We unfortunately did not have time to visit the restaurant down stairs but it looked very nice, and it always seemed like there were quite a lot of people eating there. We arrived by bus, a bus stop is right across their driveway with busses travelling directly from Amsterdam Centraal, so it is easy to get there even without a vehicle.

Good location with cheap bus literally across the road into Amsterdam or a very manageable 35 minute walk. Free parking. Good restaurant on site, open after 11.30 in the morning. Friendly and helpful staff.

Although our room at the top of the hotel was very stylish and had everything we needed, the many steps up to it were rather daunting. Next visit we would go for one of the other rooms.

Everything was brilliant. The room we stayed in was near immaculate, the staff were exceptional and we honestly struggled to find any faults at all in our stay. The location was great as it was out of the way but very close to public transport that took us back to the city centre. Although we were uncomfortable with the idea of being left without night staff on site, the process was very straightforward and after the first night it honestly felt like a second home for us and we actually enjoyed the experience this gave us. We'd will definitely look at staying again and recommending to anyone looking travelling.

Although this wasn't a significant issue for us, the room didn't have an iron or board, not a major issue and would recommend packing a travel iron if the venue are unable to provide. Our room was missing a lightbuld in one of the table lights however we weren't bothered by this and there was some damp developing in the shower grout however it's only minor and really only a suggestion as it's a luxurious bathroom and would be a shame for it deteriorate.

Friendly staff, very clean spacious room and bathroom, great location with accessibility to public transport to and from Centraal station. Cleaning services were done everyday for changing towels, flannels, rearranging bedsheets and pillows. We had a lovely view of the restaurant sitting area, the street and part of the park.

The only thing I disliked was that pillows were hard, however the bed itself was lovely and soft.

Comfortable bed with plenty of room. Top loft room not suitable for taller people- lots of beams and eaves. The shower is exposed in the room, so not ideal if sharing with friends/family. Lovely quiet location near the park, can hire bikes from the hotel and the bus stop is very near by. Breakfast isn't included and the restaurant doesn't open until 11.30.

Would have loved a radio/sound system for the room, and mosquito nets for the windows.

We really loved absolutely everything about this unique property. We stayed in two out of the seven rooms of the hotel and it felt like a home. The hosts and staff were amazing, very welcoming, friendly and helpful, super nice and very communicative. The property is beyond beautiful, from the building, to the design, to the rooms. It’s clear to see that the hosts thought of every little detail, the rooms are extra spacious, wonderfuly designed and clean. The food at the rest was amazing! one of the best meals we had during our visit. And the area is unbelievable, it’s full of green and nature, it’s quiet and magical. Truly the best decision we made staying in this family-like, most beautiful hotel!
