Definition of Boutique hotel run by young enthusiastic team . Room with large bath backed by picture of old loco. Very comfortable bed, Room had air con unit and a fan , TV was able to use chrome cast all nice touches. the hotel is very unique in being an old Railway Station. excellent . We had dinner in restaurant food and drink was excellent with exceptional service from our waitress; all at reasonable cost for quality of food. Free parking in hotel car park adjacent. we were also pleased to have breakfast at 7am which was useful as picking up son and daughter in law form Schipol airport 20 mins away. Pleasant river side walk close to hotel made for enjoyable post dinner stroll.

finding places to plug in phones laptop a bit of a challenge. bath shower gel provided but no ordinary soap. blind had to be either up or down no mid way position all minor niggles. Please note very steep stairs due to type of building not suitable for everyone - just a function of the type of building.

The food was absolutely fantastic, as was the staff. The style of the rooms is pretty unique and cool. Tea and coffee equipment on the room. Free parking available. We will come back next year :)

Not many plugs in the room, no plugs near the bed. The mini fridge is nice to have, but it was too loud for us so we just pulled the plug. The sink isn't level hence not all water goes down the drain - quite a lot just stays in one corner of the sink. No towel rail and just two hooks. Most doors could use some WD40. All minor things that are no big deal but they add up.

The bed was so comfortable! There were tons of food options close by the hotel. The canal was right next to the hotel to enjoy which we loved. The food was great in the restraunt below too. Highly recommend the butterscotch ice cream or Crème Brûlée. My husband loved the chocolate cannoli.

All the stairs were a little rough when you forgot things in your car since we were at the very top. The waitress who served us during our meal wasn't very friendly and it took quite a bit of time for our dessert.

Very cool history to the building. Nice room with balcony. Comfortable bed. Incredible breakfast!

There was no air conditioning and it was too hot to sleep. There was only a little oscillating fan to try to cool off a large room. Dutch stairs! OMG! I’d forgotten how narrow and steep they are! Big American feet only fit sideways on the steps and if you have luggage it’s very difficult. We understand the step thing, so, really, it was the lack of AC that marred our overnight there.

We stayed here because something with our hostel in Amsterdam didn’t work out, but that’s okay i’m happy it didn’t or never would’ve found this place. This is a perfect little get away spot, the breakfast was so great it exceeded our expectations. I also fell in love with this little town, I would happily visit again. Staff were great and very friendly, my friend and I travelling only speak English, but they were very accommodating and understanding, we got by with no troubles.

This is the second time I've stayed here in the past two weeks. It's a great place to stay before a flight out of Schiphol. The breakfast is great and the rooms are lovely. I stayed on the top floor during my first visit. It was super quiet...didn't hear anything at night. This time I stayed on 2nd floor and it was unfortunately quite noisy. I could hear the people above us walking around until quite late in the night. So just something to keep in mind if you're booking and have a choice as to which floor to stay on. Beyond that it's one of the nicest B&B's I've ever stayed at.

Breakfast was phenomenal! We also had dinner there on the terras outside and the dinner was excellent and the price was very reasonable. Staff was very friendly and helpful!

There was not anything that we did not like. We stayed there 5 years ago and found everything great that was the reason we went back another time. We hope to stay there in the future.

A great property where every room is unique and quaint. Not your Holiday Inn! if you have mobility or step climbing issues, not for you. The restaurant was amazing and, yes, book your space when you arrive. just first class and very busy. Would love to return, Super breakfast including fresh squeezed orange (yes, real oranges!).

This hotel (and restaurant) is in an old train station and is very nicely set up and decorated. Our room was up two flights of narrow stairs but worth the climb in terms of atmosphere and set up. Their breakfast served in the restaurant downstairs was very good. There are several nice restaurants along the nearby waterfront.

It was quaint and cozy. The room was beautifully decorated and I had a lovely balcony where I sat with a glass of wine and looked over the village. The staff was very accommodating! Found me a table in the restaurant, even though they were booked solid and made a breakfast for me even though I was leaving before breakfast was scheduled to be served. I could have stayed there for a week!

It was perfect!
