Motueka Garden Motel

Excellent, spacious, squeaky clean and very well equipped 2 bedroom unit. Furnishing felt new and modern, and the beds were extremely comfortable. The kitchen was very well equipped to cook a proper family meal. Great little play park for the kids and under cover parking. Units were separate to each other so no noise disturbance as in some places.

More of a suggestion than a real negative - an extractor fan in the bathroom would be really useful - as would some extra hooks to hang up towels.

It was at the quiet end of town so there was no traffic noise. There was undercover parking for the car. It was very clean and tidy. The beds were comfortable. The whole property has a sense of roominess - you don't feel boxed in. It would be a great place to bring kids to - with a swimming pool and lots of outdoor running area.

The bathroom was fine if not a bit dated. I would have liked a support rail in the shower as I'm awaiting joint surgery and feel a little nervous with nothing to hang on to. The lighting was a little problematic. I couldn't find the light for the kitchen at the start and discovered it behind the fridge. In the living area we had to move the table to the centre of the room to gain more light for card and board games

On check-in I almost paid twice as had already paid through Booking.com but they didn't have a record of it. Was questioned on the price and made to feel like I was lying despite having the confirmation from Booking.com. I paid $130 and they were adamant it was $145 and that Booking.com couldn't possibly be cheaper than booking direct. I never heard anything more so I assume they found the payment and all was fine.

beautiful property great location and very attentive staff, I was a former hotel housekeeper the cleanliness of our room was outstanding. The cleaners at the motel are the best I have come across in a very long time, your housekeeping team can easily run circles around the auckland city housekeepers all day long. I spent 7 years as a hotel housekeeper trust me when I say the rooms are beautifully cleaned,

Nothing needs to be changed. keep up with the great work, don't fix whats not broken.

Made our own breakfast as the facilities in the motel good. Large kitchen/ living area. Loved the pool. Plenty of room for the grandchildren to play outside.

A little noisy if you have loud upstairs neighbour's.

The room was as described, very compact but had everything you needed. The shower was great, really powerful! The staff were really helpful and Vince went out of his way to ensure we had an enjoyable stay.

It’s a little out of town. The rooms were a little tired.

the only issue we found in the back units was that we could hear every noise from the other units - it meant we had some late nights and early mornings with the noise from other guests

Our room was clean and spaceous and well equipped. The pool and trampoline in close proximity was a bonus. The beds were very comfortable and we loved the quietness at night being set back away from traffic. Staff were amazing!

The neighbouring orchard has machinery going in the day. The unit had a high window that might benefit from a blind to block that sleep destroying full moon and early sunshine.

Location is convenient, central. Pets can stay too was big plus and reason we chose this motel

Pretty Certain the sheets, bedding were washed in a fragranced laundry detergent as we found bedding itchy. May need to consider a hypoallergenic laundry detergent. Otherwise facility was faultless

Excellent location for our darts tournament, every note when we returned your could tell house keeping had been in and cleaned, would recommend this venue to others...... I have even pre booked for 2025
