Ocean view room is a must over the spectacular bay. Easy walk to shops, restaurants and wharf or to nearby beaches and Waitangi. The unit has separate bedroom, spacious bathroom and kitchen facilities with balcony to enjoy the setting or simply cross the road for a swim.
Wifi was non existent in our room. Traffic noise may bother some but did not really bother us and a trade off for waterfront views.

Very clean and tidy room and grounds. Helpful and friendly staff. Easy onsite parking. Great sized room and kitchenette, which would be awesome for longer stays. Room was serviced in the morning exceptionally.
Bed wasn’t the comfiest. The room was advertised as sea view, but I would class it more as partial sea view because in order to see the sea you have to be sitting on the edge of the couch or out on the balcony looking out but our room was the very last tucked away in the corner, so I’m sure all other rooms would have had a great view. Not a major.

Apart from a comfortably roomy , quiet apartment which was clean and bright .. the view was spectacular.. I’d thoroughly recommend booking an Ocean View Unit . A fuss free check in and out .. the Motel is a very short walk to restaurants, shopping and ferries .. and the Treaty Grounds .. We loved our stay in Paihia ..enhanced by staying at the Breakwater Motel

My autistic adult son stayed here with his support worker for a 4 night holiday. They had a very enjoyable time and liked that they could hear the ocean. The road was busy they said but only certain times of the day. Lovely view with convenient location.

Great location. Had a sea view room and it was great. Place was clean and comfortable. Plenty of room for 3-4 adults. Easy check-in and check out. Had all amenities, no washing machine if you’re looking for one - we didn’t so not a problem.

Location was perfect for our stay with variety of restaurants close by. Paihia pier five minute walk and Waitangi Treaty Ground within walking distance. The view from the apartment was to die for directly facing bay of islands, included was your own garden patio.

Quite over priced - it was a last minute booking at a busy time but I don’t feel that the cost was over the top unfortunately.

It was a bit small for our family of 4 (but we knew before we arrived it would be like this). Not all rooms have a sea view and the walls were a little thin. The WiFi was a bit intermittent.

The view from our room was fantastic and a short walk to Restaurants, Shops and Waterfront. Our room had a kitchenette which was fully stocked with everything we needed. Room was clean and spacious

Great location and views of the ocean were stunning, so relaxing. Staff all friendly.
If I had to say something negative, the bed was a little too firm for me. That however is only my personal preference.
