Paihia Beach Resort & Spa Hotel

The breakfast was exceptional, the massage was incredible, I got my eyebrows and eyelashes done and they both exceeded my expectations. From the minute I walked into the resort I felt like a queen. Every single staff member went above and beyond to ensure I had everything I wanted or needed. It was worth every single cent I paid and then some. I will be booking again. I will be booking my loved ones in when opportunity arises. I cannot thank everyone enough for my wonderful stay

The only complaint I have is that the restaurant and bar weren't open for lunch or dinner. I had two different breakfast and they were both Devine so I would have loved to try the other meals.

We loved the location here as it wasn't right in the middle of restaurants so it was quieter. The main area with restaurants was just a short walk around the corner. The breakfasts and coffee was great and ended up having breakfast there every morning. Heated pools were also a bonus and with such a great view. We also loved it because there was so much to do from here - thermal pools, boat trip to hole in the rock, Waitangi historical site. Staff were lovely and overall really enjoyed our stay.

Nice room and amazing outlook

A beautiful property that unfortunately hasn’t been well maintained .., Property needs a good clean, very grubby pool umbrellas … Tiles and tables + chairs on pool deck all need cleaning Roof on restaurant dirty Restaurant only open for breakfast….didn’t find out until checkin. Locals say it’s a fantastic restaurant so it should open and show case itself Access to carpark not up to expected standard

view was amazing, deck area great, along with pool area. Lovely big room with very comfortable bed and plenty of storage.

Found the check in lady when we arrived was polite but didn't really come across that friendly and didn't really tell us much about how to access the pool area, or what was on offer around the area, it wasn't our first time to Paihia so it didn't really matter to us but if we had been overseas tourists then they may have liked more info. Other staff were friendly. did find that the plates and cups in cupboard weren't that clean.

On a gorgeous sunny day we stopped off in the Bay of Islands. This motel/hotel is right opposite a lovely playground/beach & sits between the main township & historical treaty grounds of Paihia.Were greeted by a very gentle & smooth young man who was very obliging in sharing about the area. The hotel itself was easily accessible & had a lift. The room was a very good size separated into open living with a separate bedroom, had a full working kitchen, washing machine & even a dryer a seperate wardrobe, in room safe & was very comfortable with views over the bay. All in all a great stay

Beautiful views of the harbour, close to the main Centre of town, clean amenities.

On arrival no one was at reception to greet us, no bell to ring or phone number to let Duty Manager know we had arrived. Waited 15 minutes for a staff member to arrive and give us Room keys. We had dinner one night in The Glasshouse Restaurant, once again staff were not available to seat us, only one waitress on, it was obvious she was stressed and we had to ask her for more utensils and clean plates, took our wine glass and did not ask if we wanted a refill. The food was delicious at the restaurant.

Room had beautiful views of the ocean. The location is great, only a short walk to restaurants and cafe. The plunge pools were amazing! The room was very spacious and clean, and had everything we needed. Loved the balcony as well.

TV in the bedroom did not work. We went to reception to report this, but there was no one there. Tried to call later on during the day, but phone was not answered and there was no voicemail to leave a message.

A well equipped studio apartment with a lovely view of the Bay. Quite spacious. Good linens On site restaurant was very good. We were fortunate to get one of the underground parking spots Good to have luggage trolleys there. Around the corner from the ferry and main shops but only a short pleasant walk away. Also the benefit of a quieter location

This is a small but perfectly formed resort, impeccably clean, very comfortable bed and room. The bathroom has a massive spa bath, the hotel is right across the road from the beach, we could go to sleep hearing waves crashing and nothing else. The spa pool deck is lovely, and we had a really nice meal in the restaurant. Staff were friendly and capable. A short walk only to Paihia town. Really good value for what we paid. We are totally intending to return.

Some of the detailing in the latest spruce-up was not quite perfect, but then again I'm a perfectionist DIYer.
