Hilton Queenstown Resort & Spa

When we booked through Booking .com, it was showing " everyday service" of room as a facility but when we reached hotel, they told us that they will charge $ 50 for first cleaning and change of sheets after third night. We spoke to them about the facility promised at the time of booking - so they did room service after the first night but forget totally after second night ( not even tea/ coffee/ milk replacement) - we managed and then they did full service after third night. I think there is a bit of glitch between what you promise at the time of booking vs. what there standard services are - I believe it can be resolved. We are quite accommodative - except for this everything else was good including staff, courtesy, breakfast etc.

Location was amazing, the guy on in the evenings was fantastic, brought flannels up to my parents room both evenings, and was great with our car. Breakfast staff were also amazing.

I know it is tough finding staff, but our room in particular the skirting boards were thick with dust, esp in bathroom. No hot water on 2nd night nor in the morning, just not acceptable for a 5 star hotel. It would be better to accept LESS bookings and do them well and meet expectations.

2nd stay here in months. Came back this time with my family. Hiccup with original apartment 411 but staff were quick to move us to Residence 304 which was more spacious and great Lakeview. The dryer sounded like it was going to explode but they again were quick to give us access to next door apartment to use the dryer. Everything Hilton was great even with hiccups. We used all facilities even the ebikes on hire. Buffet breakfasts is a must!! Its a great area to relax, walk and bike. Golf club cafe is a great spot to relax. Water taxi to town is a bonus. Definitely come again. Thank you for a great stay

Residence 411 had a funny smell from the bathroom vent. I hope they fix it. Non deluxe apartments have a room configuration that makes it feel cramped. I would recommend going deluxe for more space. Handles for the bifold doors need to be tightened. It was hard to open and fold. Pool could be slightly warmer Dryer in 304 needs fixing.

having the ferry right outside the hotel with the discount of staying at the Hilton made it easy to go to and from town! the clock radio also had bluetooth so i was able to listen to music when i was in my room! amazing blackout curtains! too bad im afraid of the dark 🤦🏾‍♀️🤣 had to keep one of the lamps on at night mirrors almost everywhere around the hotel and in my room, so i had a field day when it came to taking photos! staff were all friendly! and the order in food was delicious! (and cheaper than the restaurant) definitely recommend the watermelon and feta salad w/ chips 😋

The staff were absolutely incredible and so helpful with accommodating our needs for our elopement (valet for our vendors), they also were so kind in leaving us a nice gift in our room! The Spa here was very relaxing and the massage was incredible. Wakatipu Grill is a fantastic restaurant and the staff were fun, my wife's birthday was the first night we stayed and we ended up eating at the restaurant and having drinks there a number of nights. Definitely recommend the Lamb, duck, and ribeye! Also our room was huge with an awesome bathroom and shower! There is also a great water taxi that will take you into town from the hotel for 14nz per person, they don't take cash keep that in mind!

There was nothing bad about our stay!

Great facilities. The full buffet breakfast was amazing and I would highly recommend. Definitely something I think all guests should try, even for the experience. Loved getting to use the pool. Husband loved the massage he had and said the service was great from the staff.

Pool needs to be slightly warmer as it’s rather cold for something that’s considered to be heated. Apart from that the hotel and staff are great, it was more the guests that we had issues with. Such as the guests below us smoking and the smell coming into our room which we later informed staff of. The other guests above us were constantly stomping during the day, which sounded even worse overnight and was rather irritating.

Very clean room. Generously sized. The bed was extremely comfortable, the bathroom (with bath) was really lovely, and the lake view was gorgeous. Breakfast each day was full of fresh and delicious options, and I really appreciated it being available until 10am. I found the dinners from Wakatipu Grill to be exceptional. The hotel is wonderfully situated away from the bustle of central Queenstown, but with the water taxi jetty right out the door going to and fro is easy. The Kelvin Heights track also runs along the front of the hotel, so great for runners/walkers/cyclists. Finally, I had a terrific facial at the spa and almost fell asleep during the session. I will definitely be staying here again.

Friendly reception staff. Smooth check-in and check-out. Easy and cheap self-parking available just across the road of our apartment (park at double tree @ NZD 16/per day). Good size apartment with full facility including laundry. Love the view and environment around the hotel. Excellent spots to take photos when you walk along the lake side. Swimming facility is good, they also have a small gym available. Good complementary breakfast, you can enjoy the lake view when you have your breakfast.

We got an apartment that has only part of the lake view. Would be better to get one with full lake view. Realised little milk capsules in the mini bar were all expired after mum found wired test in one. Report to the management and we were offered a complementary breakfast. Manager was keen to help and excellent/efficient in resolving issues.

- Continental breakfast. Best breakfast we have had and looked forward to it every morning! So many options and amazing chefs. - Wakatipu grill! It was so convenient to head down and sit in front of the lake and get some lunch or drinks. Spectacular view, peaceful and just amazing. We didn't need to go outside the hotel and find a great place to eat. - Water taxi with jeti. Even though we didn't use it, it was nice to know we didn't have to go far for these services. - Unbeatable views of the lake and the mountains. - Rooms were always kept clean and fresh

- Paid parking. Was hoping that parking would be included during the stay as some couples/families will be renting a car - A bit of a drive from Queenstown wharf

The room was lovely! very spacious and clean! We loved the private hot tub, just the right size for two! The view from our room was on the lakefront and was so beautiful! All of the staff were so friendly and accommodating. Breakfast at the restaurant was lovely, such a great selection of foods, all cooked well! We were made to feel very welcome and valued as guests at the hotel! Would love to stay at the Hilton again!

We felt the mattress on the bed could have been comfier; it was quite firm and did not give the feeling of "luxury". Apart from this, there was nothing about our stay that we did not like.
