Amethyst Court Motor Lodge

First impressions count, walking into reception we were hit with a very strong smell of curry, no lift meant the women had to carry their heavy suitcases upstairs, no offer of help. The room was comfortable but 3rd world with ripped curtains in one bedroom and the drapes were missing curtain hooks. The carpeted stairs did not appear to be vacummed at all over our 2 day stay.

I liked the location and almost sound proof windows. It was nice and quiet. Rooms were spacious and clean. Everything was there for the convenience.

I couldn't find a top blanket/throw to put on the top of my blanket, that was a bit thin. I don't like sleeping with the heat pump working. For the cleaners - overall it was perfect but some areas were missed (e.g. could pay more attention to lower bathroom walls and a couple of cutlery was overlooked as it was previously touched by someone with greasy hand). But it's only small details to improve on as rooms very generally very clean. and i will definitely stay again

No sink in the twin studio to wash dishes/drink water.. had to use sink in bathroom. Had to fill small glasses & pour into kettle because kettle couldn’t fit in bathroom sink. Too much of a hassle walking to reception to get water No cleaning products/mops to clean & dry bathroom floor after a shower Should have a community vacuum available for guests to use when cleaning staff aren’t available as they only come once in the mornings

Hotel style room with an accessible bathroom (very nice!) . Comfortable beds. Easy access to outside through a ranch slider. Plently of space in the room for things and moving around.

The provided kettle cannot be filled up in the basin as the tap is to o low. Had to fill it from the shower, which was a messy affair. If there was an extractor fan in the bathroom, I could not find how to turn it on. Shower curtains are not full length and the whole floor ends up wet.

I had a wonderful experience at the Amethyst Court Motor Lodge. Every staff member I encountered, from the check-in to the cleaning staff were delightful and eager to help! It exceeded my expectations, the room was wonderful, clean, perfect and was spotless. and the most comfortable bed I have ever slept in. The price is a bit steep. Overall, I had a great experience with the Amethyst Court Motor Lodge !! I will always stay at this location when traveling to Wellington. And highly recommend it to everyone who want a perfect stay.

Quiet and convenient location with free parking, our room had a cool and tranquil feel right beside the bush we enjoyed the free wifi and air conditioning, the location I could highly recommend, being just across the road from a busy shopping centre

The bed was the most uncomfortable and firmest bed I’ve ever slept in, it was the only bad thing I could say about the accommodation

From check-in to when we departed we enjoyed the friendliness of the receptionist, the cleanliness of the room and the central location. This is a return visit and it did not disappoint.

The only downside, which is minor is that there is no separate sink in the room. I didn't enjoy having to clean the dishes in the bathroom handbasin. It is a cultural thing. We do not mix food with areas used to clean the body.

Ranchsliding door however unable to lock or unlock from outside. Accessible bathroom great. Staff gave me a room downstairs with an accessible bathroom, very happy.

Small coffee cups and glasses. No bodywash bottle and shower pressure weak. Mattress needs mattress topper can tell overused. Need extra warm blankets there was nothing in the cupboard. Pillows very soft, needed 3x pillows to feel comfortable. Curtain off the rail, needs rehanging

I like this place,stayed before and would stay again. It’s expensive but at least you know what you’re getting 👍🏻

Online booking room descriptions didn’t match the rooms (I booked deluxe studio online-there isn’t a deluxe studio option at the venue so I thought I was getting a spa bath in my room but didn’t. Staff sorted me the expected room for my second nights stay but it cost extra. This was an issue at the booking site end rather than than the venue-be aware)
