The building, the staff. Great place to relax and see a bit of old coastal Portugal.

A bit more shade on the pool deck and bar would have been good. It lacked a good place to hang out and enjoy the atmosphere from the pool and bar for someone to didn't want want to be in the sun. Also being artists we thought the black interior walls were not in keeping with the history of the building and it's heritage. They were not in context with its main charm, its history. The black walls and the fashion style photographs looked like they were directed towards a minimum market. Readers of Vogue. Walls sympathetic to the original architecture in colour that were hung with art from the same period would attract that crowd and many others.

A quirky hotel which was well furnished, full of character embellished with eclectic ornaments and objects d’art. The location was good and about 400 metres from the central green and railway station. The breakfast was excellent and good value with a variety of produce including cereals, traditional cooked breakfast, cold meats, cheeses, pastries, fruits….. and even a pancake maker.

The hotel stated tea and coffee facilities in the room however they only provided supplies for the first day and any replacements had to be paid for.

Beautifully decorated and arty hotel. Great, quiet location, 5 mins walk from train station (up hill but manageable with bags), beach and shops. Great pool and sun deck with view of ocean in distance. Good pool cafe (reasonable price and good quality) and attentive staff. All staff speak English very well and we're super friendly. Big enough to have all facilities you want but not too big that it feels impersonal. Large room with all mod cons and toiletries. Some rooms in original part of hotel have balconies and some also have sea views.

All very good and would certainly recommend. If being picky then: bathroom in our room could use a refresh but was very acceptable. Only provided two coffee capsules in rooms and when tried to purchase more from reception (1e) they only had decaff!!!.... Oh the hardships we faced ;)

We stayed in this hotel in around 2005 and since then major work has been done on the hotel with a new wing added over what was the swimming pool. The room was very comfortable with a nice balcony. The staff especially Francisco were very, very helpful. We managed to find a Hotel parking space each day so that was a real bonus as well. The location is fantastic giving easy access the the coastal path which gets you in to the middle of Cascais in about 30 mins by foot.

The only issue we had was that our room was in the new wing at the very end which meant it was close to the road and a bus stop, the busses start running very early in the morning so traffic noise was an issue.

Great location, you could do a lot on foot. Very nice and spacious rooms. Great breakfast (a hit with the kids as lots of sweet options like muffins and buns). Nice pool bar with tasty and healthy options. special thanks to Inna and the girl from Cape Green, who were both GREAT! Fun decoration.

We had an incident by the pool bar one day when a supervisor (I assumed) complained about the staff in front of all the guests AND delaying the staff from serving lunch (it was lunch time). Never in my life I’ve seen something like this specially since the service had been great for several days already. clearly the lady should NOT be a client facing manager and NOT a supervisor. what a terrible experience to the staff and the guests for NO clear reason. I hope they remove her and praise the excellent service provided by the team by the pool bar and restaurant.

Francisco and the other members of the team are a great asset to the Hotel. They made us feel welcome and comfortable. They tried really hard to provide a great service and although many hotels try and do something similar they rarely pull it off. The hotel is fabulous and something different with art and lovely furnishings. A real gem.

House-keeping could be better as things were missed a few times. I recommended that some more child friendly options such as pool floats could be considered.

the property was lovely inside and we were greeted with a warm welcome. The reception staff helped us with everything from booking restaurants. Marta was exceptional and couldn’t do enough for us, I needed my hair and make up doing for a wedding we were attending and Marta sorted it straight away. The Sky bar was lovely and again the staff treat us like royalty. The staff in the sky bar were really lovely and the food was so fresh. I honestly cannot say a bad word about this hotel. The room was lovely and spacious with a great additional mini bar. overall our stay was fantastic and we would definitely return

there wasn’t anything bad

All of the staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. Although gluten-free and lactose-free options were not put out for general consumption at breakfast, they were nonetheless available on request each day, without any issues - again, the staff were only too pleased to help in this regard. The hotel is slightly quirky (but in a good way), with some interesting features and a good combination of old and modern. Excellent sun terrace and pool and bar area.

Maybe a better selection of evening meal menu would be good, although with such a wide choice of local restaurants and cafés nearby, this is not really a problem.

Nice and cozy boutique hotel close to the beach and the casino and many restaurants. I want to give a special thank to Daniel and Paulo the receptionists and Pedro the maintenance guy who promptly supported us and solved an issue we had in the bathroom of our bedroom. They provided us with a new bedroom and this is the problem solving I appreciate. Problems may happen but it’s all in the way you solve them. We enjoyed our short stay and will be back surely. Our dog also loved the private garden (so nice) and fell in love with Daniel.

Location of this hotel is fantastic. Room was spacious, spot on clean and view amazing. Overall hotel is cosy with nice lounge and pool area. Breakfast was ok, however on the simple side. Reception stuff apart from one grumpy lady very friendly.

Broken exposed electric socket in the room. The swimming pool water was sadly too cold. One of the receptionist ladies was extremely unpleasant, borderline rude, customer service zero! (Unfair for the rest of the team that on the other hand are very nice)
