InterContinental Cascais-Estoril, an IHG Hotel

For a 5 star hotel you have to expect the best. Small things but nevertheless not up to the standard you expect. Had breakfast in the room, left for the day and got back back to find the trolley still in the room and sliding door fully open?! Bit of jam we dropped on the table was there for the duration of our stay. Breakfast is not 5 star standard. Generally staff is very attentive and nice but you can feel a lack of proper management. In favour - sea view from the rooms is fantastic Location is 5 stars To conclude: it was ok, would come back and stay again but made us want to look for other hotels next time

The hotel is really beautiful with a wonderful view of the sea. The service was fabulous. We had a small mechanical problem in our room the first night that interfered with our sleep (this can happen anywhere of course). We mentioned it to the staff and they jumped through hoops to make us happy. They upgraded and moved us to an even better room and kept checking in to make sure everything was working well and that we were happy. They also sent us a gift of a very nice bottle of port. I have to say, they could not have tried any harder, and the remainder of our stay was perfect. The hotel is an easy 15-minute walk to the busier Cascais area, and we enjoyed fresh (from their tank) seafood there (great restaurant "O Pescador"), on the recommendation of hotel staff. Also I had a wonderful spa treatment with Anna, the 90-minute facial/massage combination. A really great experience overall with special thanks to Raquel.

The wifi was a bit spotty at times, but they are working on it.

I wanted to have a small weekend break with my family, with SPA and Pool, and the hotel matched the expectations. The facilities are of very good quality, and the breakfast was very good too. Some Vegan options for people that need it too. The Hotel restaurant was also very good for a comfortable dining experience. Not the most varied menu available, but it makes sense given the intended purpose of it.

Not much can be said negatively for the restaurant. Service at dinner might have been slow sometimes for the number of people there, but nothing that is worth being a bad mark on the hotel. It is not the cheapest hotel, but at least what you get is of good quality.

The staff here are so so helpful and welcoming. We booked this last minute, we have even extended our stay for another two night ( Yay ), the rooms are incredible ( so much better than the photos ), the sea views are so relaxing. location wise it’s perfect! a two minute walk and you’re on the sea front. The breakfast has a huge selection! It’s been such a pleasure and I know I’ve mentioned this previously but all of the staff are on the ball, giving advice / recommendations and most of all they have been welcoming, so a huge thank you and I hope they all get the recognition they deserve.

nothing to do with the property but don’t go to ‘ Deck Bar and restaurant ‘, it’s only a 5 min walk, my girlfriend has been seriously ill and bed bound for two days from food poisoning!

Amazing staff.makes you feel at home,view from the room was exceptional, location was amazing as well. Just a stone throw away from tje beach. Loved our stay there

One evening we ordered food from uber and we wanted some fork and spoons, when we called to ask for some, we were informed that we will be charged 5 euros if they come to give us and it would be free of cost If we go get ourselves, understand they might be in shortage of staff but 5 euros for just giving us a set of spoon and fork was quite absurd.

I came for work for a week and it was a pleasure to choose this hotel, it allowed me to combine business with pleasure. All staff were friendly, courteous, yet unobtrusive. The room was absolutely clean and the interior was modern. Mostly I ate at the hotel, as I was busy from morning to evening. The quality of the cuisine is excellent, the cost of food is certainly higher than in any restaurant, but it was important for me to save time and devote it to comfort, so I was ready to overpay.

The hotel is in an area with a lot of very wealthy people. In this regard, some guests may be incorrect in behavior, which I met and this brought some discomfort. Thanks to the manager Sofia, she managed to smooth this moment.

- Exceptionally clean & well maintained. - The pool area was quiet and music free, the other guests were very respectful which led to a very tranquil experience. - drinks at the bar on the terrace were a great bonus. - staff were incredibly helpful, polite and friendly. - for a 5 star hotel, the experince was pleasantly unpretentious and thankfully wasn't stuffy like some 5 star hotels can be. I'd highly recommend staying here.

The ocean view room was very comfortable. Everything you would expect from a 5-star hotel. But what makes it an even better hotel is the quality of the staff. Every single person was very nice and so helpful, from the reception to the restaurant to the spa. Great hotel, we will be back!

the outdoor swimming pool was cold and no one could use it. the indoor swimming pool has some time limitations for kids and was so small.

very nice hotel with and excellent and professional staff! The location is close to the beach but the pool area is also great for nice relaxing stay. Delicious breakfast served on the terrace and the staff that made us feel like home. Thank you for the great stay!
