A gorgeous spotlessly clean guesthouse with a lovely team and owner. Everything was just perfect. Breakfast on the beautiful relaxing patio area was lovely with a selection of ham and cheese - freshly home baked cakes and jams and eggs cooked to your liking. The team were so friendly and relaxed. Room was a good size, fresh bright, beautifully decorated and very comfortable and clean. A big plus was a top quality powerful hairdryer which I have never come across as they are usually useless in even the highest rated hotels! The garden is a pleasure to be in - so peaceful and relaxing and very convenient to have a bar for drinks and snacks. Would not hesitate to recommend and hopefully will return next year. Everything was perfect.

A truly relaxing experience. A very peaceful property, despite being so close to the centre. My room had a very comfortable bed and a seating area too. Very tastefully, yet simply furnished. A towel for the pool had been left in the room and the bathroom had shampoo, shower gel and soap. The staff were very friendly and welcoming - really felt looked after. The breakfast on the terrace was fabulous and, because guests were asked to select a breakfast time on the day before, the breakfast experience felt relaxed and never crowded. I would have liked access to a blanket/throw as I struggled to get the room to an ambient night time temperature!

The guesthouse felt private and secluded, even though it was in a great location near the centre of Faro - there were some very good places to eat within a 5-minute walking distance, and the ferry to the beach was a 10 minutes walk away. The breakfast was always freshly prepared (fruit, different kinds of cereal, yogurt, bread, cake etc.) and could be tailored on request - the staff were really friendly and accommodating. The garden/pool was a great area to relax in and have a cold drink. Also, our room had air conditioning.

Casa Apollo Guesthouse was situated in an excellent location, close to restaurants, bars, shops and all the main attractions. The attention to detail of the owner was second to none … from the beautiful mid century furniture to the stunning and relaxing garden and pool area. Everything has been carefully chosen to give the guests a comfortable stay including the comfy bed and pillows, the powerful shower, the blackout curtails, the freshly squeezed orange juice at breakfast and the towels and umbrellas for the beach. We received a warm welcome on arrival and were well looked after during our stay. We had a very enjoyable time and would definitely recommend!

To be honest everything was perfect at the property … but if we were pushed to note something it would be a small fridge in the room to keep the bottled water cool (but we are seriously nit-picking here! ☺️)

This place is a hidden gem in the middle of a busy city. The rooms were impeccably clean and we slept so well! It is so peaceful and the hosts have really thought of every small touch. The garden and pool have been completed to such a high finish! The fresh papaya from the garden was delicious.

Location is very central but street is not that well lit so doesn’t feel that safe when walking back in dark so recommend walking home with someone/in a group.

The pool and garden are really brilliant while you are staying in the center of Faro You also get very good guidance on what to do & where to eat The breakfast was really nice It was just a very relaxing spot - just what we needed

We arrived by taxi one hour earlier than expected (just some coincidences & a crazy fast taxi driver) - we arrived together with another german couple and the host was really upset because we messed up his planning - so we went for a stroll in Faro - afterwards he was very nice but we got off on the wrong foot

Breakfast was exceptional - the best my entire trip to Portugal. Homemade honey cake for Easter, homemade banana cake, fresh papaya from the garden, expertly fried and seasoned eggs made to order, housemade jams, fresh bread, and local cheese, charcuterie, fresh juice and coffee and I’m probably missing something :-). All served in a beautiful and quiet garden. I had to leave early one morning before the normal breakfast hours but they accommodated me. The room and entire hotel also smelled lovely (almost like a spa and fresh salt air) and was the cleanest hotel I’ve ever been to. Loved the tea in the room and the French balcony overlooking the garden. Location couldn’t be beat - near a pretty, pedestrian-only street with good nightlife and restaurants, 5min walk to the train station, and close to the ferry.

Two small nitpicks: mini fridge in the bathroom but not plugged in and no hair conditioner.

The property was in a great location, within walking distance of many shops, restaurants, and the beautiful marina. The owners were incredibly friendly and helpful; they even gave us information about the ferry to the beach, which made our stay even better. Everything was spot on, from the fresh tasty breakfast, to the serene patio with sun loungers and a pool. I will definitely be visiting again.

We booked this at 19.00 following a flight cancellation and were very pleased to get the last vacant room. The owner was exceptionally kind: he helped us carry bags up the 2 floors and booked a taxi for our return to the airport the following morning (thank you to the lovely driver, Pedros). The room and shower and toilet facilities were immaculate with shower gel & shampoo available. The bed & pillows were exceptionally comfortable (Review written by Kathryn - and I am hard to please!) with great quality linen and towels. The large walk in shower (we were in room 5) was powerful and efficient. The room felt airy and light with a large window which opened wide and looked down onto a lovely garden with tables, umbrellas and a pool - all very tasteful and calm. We can highly recommend and without hesitation we would book again.

The fact that we had such a short stay and we were sorry not to be able to stay for breakfast - included in the booking price.

We loved the super spacious and comfy room, and very clean bathroom. The outdoor pool and garden area was really beautiful, secluded and quiet even though the location was so central and great for finding restaurants and bars a short walk away. JP and the staff made us feel very welcome and offered tips and advice for our stay there. We also enjoyed the shelf of books and games in the hotel. Very close to the airport too! We would have no hesitations about staying at Casa Apollo again and would highly recommend it :)
