Crystal Palace Hotel

We truly enjoyed our stay at Crystal Palace Hotel. Most of all we liked the cleanness, the design and the friendly staff. Even more, they upgraded our room free of charge and a glass of wine ( which we didn’t open because we are born again christians and we don’t drink alcohol BUT, we appreciated a lot the gift and for sure we’ll come back). I was very happy and because the hotel was spotless clean. In the morning we enjoyed a delicious continental breakfast ( fresh and quality food) and the lunch was amazing as well. Thank you. Fantastic welcome; the room was large, very clean, a lovely hand written personalised welcome note was on the table. The bed was fabulous and I slept like a baby! Access to the hotel was easy and the hotel has a decent size car park; I found a space just outside the main entrance. The reception staff was extremely nice; I wanted a large bottle of water around midnight and they found one (rather than two small ones).

I was surprised firstly at the check in. I got an unexpected upgrade to the luxury suite, thanks! Breakfast ready even a bit earlier and one day they served after hours without any problems. Full needed equipment in the room, nice choice of tv channels, warm, quiet and clean rooms, helpful staff in every point of the hotel. And an extremely friendly owner of the hotel, serving at breakfast and lounge bar:) I think I found a right place after trying many years to get what I wanted to. Recommended to every one.

They gave us an upgrade from standard queen room to junior suite room and a complementary bottle of wine, this was appreciated. The rooms are ok, the beds comfortable we slept very good and the breakfast is good if you get a better price by booking the breakfast inside the price of the room, otherwise 70 RON per person is not cheap but ok. Overall it was a good stay, and a lot of room to safely park your car.

Unfortunately at least the room where we stayed in(room 107) could use a handyman for one hour. The bathroom door cannot be opened or closed without some extra effort, because at some point the door suffered some flooding it is a little swollen up and it woud require some small maintenance. Also because the hotel is really close to the boulevard you can hear loudly the trams, and busses, even with all the windows shut, they have no effect.

Nice room, I had an upgrade on arrival to a Junior Suite, very clean, AC working efficiently despite outside temperature ( though a little noisy ).Good insulation from other rooms. Good mattress, a little bit worn out pillows, very clean bed linen and towels ( and of good quality). Big nice bathroom, bath tube a little slippery, good toiletries, enough in quantity. Good breakfast, all the staff very attentive , involvement of superior staff in every moment created a nice atmosphere. All the staff is smiling, very polite and willing to help in anyway they are asked.

The main street very noisy all the time and the insulation for the outside seemd not to work.This was the big minus ! I tried once the restaurant, but I was disappointed and went no more,The cook is a week point, maybe it could be done something- the beef sirloin and asparagus were far from I had expected.

The staff were amazing, friendly and helpful nothing was too much trouble for them. The room was comfortable, I received an updgrade to my original booking and it was more than ample for my needs which were business related. The location is very central so convenient. The food was excellent in the restaurant and good value for money. All round I would recommend and would stay again.

The only area is that the hotel is quite old and a little dated in places, some of the decor, the door to my room had been forced at some point, I recommend having that looked at as I was not entirely sure that the door was fully secure, perhaps adding a second lock you can use from inside the door would make guests feel safer.

Everything, staff was very kind, made me a little gift that made my day great. Thank you! 🙏🏽

The difference between a good and excellent hotel is the management. It can make or break any establishment. All the shiny modern fashionable design elements and interior is meaningless if there is a poor management and staff behind it. This isn’t the case at Crystal Palace Hotel. The staff and management is extremely professional, well mannered and on top of their game. A truly 5 star service. My best regards to the whole team. Will be back!

Clean, good breakfast, big room size. free and specious parking

The AC was not working and in the same time it was quite hot the days we where there, we complained to the front desk and we ware told that there is general issue at the moment which i can understand, but it did not get fixed for the whole time we stayed there so it was quite hot to sleep at the nights with over 28-29celsius.
