Resotel

This is a fun hotel located in a petrol station, everywhere you look there are new things to see all from the world of motorsport. Easy to find off the A62 motorway near Salamanca, its an ideal stop off point when travelling the length of Spain. Room & bathroom were on the small side, but loads of extras that you wouldnt expect were included. For example, tea & coffee making facilities in what I thought was the wardrobe ! the safe was in there too along with a small fridge. Welcome chocolates & mandarin oranges were provided for the human guests whilst the freshly filled water bowl & a pack of tasty dog treats greeted our furry companion. Charge for dog stay is €15 a night. The bed was comfy, shower room whilst only small was funky in decoration. There was a small bar area downstairs which doubles as the breakfast room in the mornings and its the first time ever, that I've drunk beer in a filling station shop ! There was no restaurant, but a few minutes walk across town was the sister business to the hotel, an italian pizza & pasta restaurant which is also dog friendly. Check opening days though, because its not every day and there is little else in town where you can get food. Recommended, I would stay again

Nothing, we liked it all

The hotel is near the highway but you weren't bothered with the sound. We loved the room and bonus points for having it themed with everything racing cars related. It looked very cool. The bathroom was also very clean and nice looking. The bed was comfy. Breakfast was also nice. All in all good value for money. Very friendly staff!

It said it had private parking but that wasn't really the case as we had to park along the street. However, this is only a tiny minus point as it seemed to be a safe neighborhood.

If you’re a motor sport fan, the rooms are fun, plus there’s tons of F1 and Moto GP memorabilia throughout the hotel. Our room was in Team Repsol racing colors. Staff were super friendly and helpful. We were traveling with our two cats. We were given cat treats/toys at check in and there were water/food bowls in the room. We had an excellent continental breakfast with good coffee. The hotel is just off the A66 so very convenient as an overnight stopover. We can highly recommend it!

Super fun quirky property that was perfect for my stay. Roof top pool was amazing for a fresh dip at sunset. The room’s air con was perfect and the shower had gorgeous pressure. All the staff were really nice also. Lastly their sister pizza restaurant was a good place to chill for s couple of hours, and staff there were super cool also, highly recommend this hotel.

Nothing. It’s on top of a petrol station but it’s a cool one that adds to the overall commitment to the racing theme! And it’s quite with no disturbance at all. Plus the petrol is super cheap! Very handy!

Four wheels move the body, two the soul. Don't know how many wheels this hotel has but it shook my soul. It's made from the stuff of comics, a fantasy turned into reality. The slightest detail is taken care of, this is like sleeping in a Michel Vaillant comic while being on the road with Jack Kerouac. This must be the greatest motel of Spain (abundant breakfast included). If Quixote were alive today, he would be riding two wheels and staying in Resotel. Just drive your Rocinante here. Elaborately designed hotel with theme 'racing'. All the pictures and artefacts are making up for a small museum. Friendly familyhotel. Good breakfast, nice service, excellent beds/bedding (including an extra sheet apart from duvet). What I liked most is the love for details. Well managed. Juan Carlos and his staff do a perfect job. Dedicated green bicycle lane to the historic center of Salamanca(15 minutes). The Repsol gas station in front is part of the hotel and also its shop selling all kinds of groceries as well. It is a quiet and relaxed location day and night.

I have no complaints

We loved this place. The people who run it are super friendly, the hotel is beautiful down to the little details, the room was very comfortable with a great TV and clean good sized bathroom with a great shower. Not only were we welcomed with a smile, when we arrived in our room there were little snacks waiting for for us as well as our dog. We were even provided with the coolest dog bowls I have ever seen. There is plenty on-street parking nearby, as well as shops/bars/restaurants within walking distance from the hotel. Absolutely fabulous!

I genuinely cannot find any fault with the Resotel.

The hotel is just a few minutes away from the motorway and next door to a filling station making it an ideal stopover. It’s dog friendly too. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The motorsport theme and all the memorabilia make it an interesting place to stay. The associated pizza restaurant down the road is worth a visit too with its excellent food and continues the memorabilia collection.

Nothing particularly but the on street parking may not be to everyone’s liking.

Well, there's no question what the 'theme' of this hotel is! There is motoring memorabilia everywhere. Very modern, very clean and the people running it were delightful and worked very hard! The small town was pleasant and had a few good restaurants, and hotel guests get a 5% discount at Pizzapizza! Conveniently located for the motorway. Private parking was reasonable though a bit tight if you have a large car!

The room and the bathroom were quite small, though adequate. Nothing much else to criticise!

Unbelievably quirky hotel. But a large bedroom, well-equipped, very bright, clean and modern. Very helpful owner and staff. A very odd location - over a petrol station in a suburb of Salamanca - we almost drove away without getting out of the car, but so pleased we stayed. Quiet, fun, pets very welcome (dog bowl in the room). Walking distance to a good Italian pizzeria. Simple but adequate breakfast. All at a good price. And a very easy, straight road into the centre of Salamanca if you wish to visit.

It’s an odd location - but absolutely fine.
