Clarion Hotel Malmö Live

Nice and clean hotel, we travelled with a small child but we were comfortable. Hotel staff members were friendly and very helpful for a favour.

Elevators. In the morning we waited to get in the elevator for more than 15 mins. With a child on the pram, it was very frustrating. I’m not sure this is due to corona or not, but housekeeping didn’t come and cleaned up the room. It could have been nice if they could have taken rubbish. we ordered a crib for our child. The kid-size quilt was in an adult single size quilt cover. Could not use it because it was too big and my child could not move around while sleeping.

Breakfast was excellent, room super comfortable, and the place is perfectly located in Malmo.

Wifi was super bad in the room, almost useless, and TV didn’t work. You have to book your breakfast time the day before, but if you arrive in the afternoon you already lose most of the later spots, and we only knew about it when we arrive there, so we had to book a super early breakfast time.

The location is really convenient, few minutes walk from the center. Nice and modern hotel, large breakfast with plenty of variety. We stayed two nights and they didn’t come to clean the room after the first night (we were told at our arrival), not a problem for us as we did t have any request or necessity.

The room was extremely hot. We were on the 17th floor with a beautiful panorama but facing the sun all day, at night the temperature was very high.

The staff were very patiant and nice. The room was on 18th floor with many windows which gave me a bird view of the city and sea. We extended one night and had a slow stay at the hotel. Also, the diner on the 25th floor restaurant was very delicious. Will stay again if we have chances to go.

The elevators are often crowded and people need to queue up. The elevator bank is split up into a set of three and another single elevator around the corner.

The location is perfect, a 2-3 minute walk from the central station. The conference center and facilities were very good with excellent events and dinner receptions. The breakfast also. The room on the 12th floor had nice view and the big room was good for 3 persons. The bathroom was very good.

The only minor thing was that a bit of water was coming out of the shower room and making the floor towel wet. Also the bathroom and sing drain may need more frequent cleaning (water emptying was a bit slow).

The Location and accessibility were a great plus for me. Also the personnel at check-in as well as room cleaning were very helpful and offered great service/support. The bed was okay overall for two nights but one has to pay attention that the mattress topper may be a bit more mobile than expected. The bath was good and functional.

I was a bit unlucky that I got a room without any view and just had a large metal beam in front of the window. Also the elevators were slightly confusing initially as there is a fourth elevator around the corner and that is not directly obvious at the beginnning.

Walking distance to the old town, Very central but quiet located. Really nice view from our room. We didn't experience any problems with busy elevators as other earlier guests commented. The room is well facilitated and comfortable. I read several comments mentioned very cold due to aircondition, but we feel it very nice and the temperature was proper. The breakfast was great and plenty of various choices. The staff are very friendly and helpful. It was a mother-daughter weekend we booked and got the room on 14 floor. We both enjoyed and like it very much.

We went home a bit late but would still like to enjoy the fitness and sauna. We did take the fitness as it opens to 11 pm, but the sauna closes 9 pm. So we couldn't make it. This is not a real problem and actually quite environmental friendly.

The hotel was outstanding. Clean, friendly staff, good position and good value for money. The breakfast was delicious, with lots of choice and it even had lactose free milk, which is unusual. The room was lovely and the view from the 19th floor was amazing. I woke up one morning to an amazing sunrise that took my breathe away. The outdoor terrace bar was also good. There was a lovely area to sit and watch the world go by beside the river at the back of the hotel. I will definitely book there again.

The basic rooms are small so it is worth upgrading to a bigger room.

The hotel is in an architectural masterpiece - one of the tallest buildings in the central area of Malmo and can easily be seen from many places, which makes it easy to find no matter where you are. It's a 5 min walk from the train station, which is very convenient if you arrive by train or bus. For an extra fee you can reserve a room on one of the higher floors with stunning views of the city or the sea. The modernist interior is beautifully designed and well thought out. Even though the standard room is not big, it fits everything you need. The sound insulation is very good and there are nice touches like heated mirror in the bathroom. The staff were really friendly and helpful. Good variety of meals during breakfast, including regional specialties like herring. And it is served until 11 AM, which is great for those who like to sleep longer.

The overall experience was extremely good, so the downsides are really minor. Even though there are 4 elevators, you might need to wait for a few minutes, especially during breakfast time. Breakfast area can become crowded around 9-10 AM. Toilet bowl is hung a little higher than normally and the sink was draining very slowly, probably due to a partial clog. Also the channel selection on TV is limited and there is no option to stream your own content.
