The Howard Plaza Hotel Kaohsiung

We booked premium executive room so our room had a bathroom with bath tub on the high floor. The beds were comfortable and there were fruits and water everyday. Breakfast was also nice, there were many kinds of food for buffets.

Hotel staff don’t speak either English and Japanese well, and no smile. They are not so kind. The hotel is close to the MRS station but actually not so close. It takes 10min but if you have some luggage with you, it’s takes 15 minutes or more. There are a lot of motorbike on the pedestrian side, it’s uncomfortable to walk with luggage in the hot weather. You need taxi.

Overall my 3rd visit and probably not last one, I really feel comfortable in this hotel whenever I need to visit Kaohsiung . Special mention to the breakfast buffet which is again self-service, great step forward! Being served by staff was not that exciting...

Fantastic as usual, I’m regular guest as I frequently visit Kaohsiung for a mix of business and leisure, and I find the hotel welcoming and comfy

In this occasion, the breakfast experience wasn’t great because of large tour groups staying overnight and the restaurant got extremely crowded and noisy as early as 6:30am. Fortunately the staff were very kind and they helped me skipping the long queue of the group tour because I was in a rush

That swimming pool is closed for three hours in the most convenient time. It was sunny during 11am-2pm when it's closed, the rain started every time at 3pm - no way to relax and sunbathe.

In general excellent room and great attentive staff. Very positively valued that the swimming pool is operating as normal.

Breakfast buffet is not what it used to be... It is time to bring back the usual self-service buffet in which the guest serves the food him/herself: enough with exaggerated COVID measures that do not make any sense, we have almost zero covid in Taiwan and we should enjoy full normalcy by now in every hotel.

Big bed, good value, nice robes, fancy toilet and outdoor jacuzzi

Swimming cap rule in the pool is disappointing. They also close it for 3 hours every day between 11am and 2pm. The pillows were much too soft but we survived.

the staff was very friendly, made our registration and getting settled in the room quickly. since it was my birthday so the Hotel gave us Free upgrades and also sent a cake for celebration.

Good room size, clean facilities and friendly services.

Fabulous rooms, great staff!! Our room was beautiful, clean and comfortable. The hotel is located close to downtown and nearby the MRT. The staff is very welcoming and speak excellent English!!

The gym needs an overhaul. The equipment is VERY old and therefore squeaks when using (treadmill as well as Stepper). Gym facility is a bit run down floor to ceilings...
