Cho Hotel

The location is great! It's close to public transportations as well as surrounded by shops and restaurants. The decor in the entire hotel is unique and nice. Staff is very professional and friendly. There is free laundry on the first floor. The entire second floor is like a huge living room with chairs and free tea/coffee/snacks/ramen noodles. The room is very very quiet. I've stayed at this hotel many times this year and it's becoming my 2nd home!

Room size is quite small. The room with a futon bed feels larger than other rooms with a double bed.

1) Room is very basic without a chair/sofa to sit on or beside table to put our stuffs. 2) No house keeping service throughout my stay due to covid-19 policy 3) Wifi is a bit slow

The location is awesome, just walk a few blocks down from the hotel you will see the bustling area of Ximending. Every corning in Ximen is just filled with options of food. Distance from the exit of the Metro is about 5-minute walk to the hotel. The hotel has a laundry area for your own use which includes washing machine and dryer, they also provide washing powder as well. Second floor (Social area) of the hotel does provide cup noodles/snacks and drinks for those staying in the hotel for free.

The room is pretty small but cozy, because it is small, the door is near the bed and the room is not super soundproof. You are able to hear others when they are conversing in the corridor and also when the door is closing.

Loved the hotel's rustic decor! Our rooms were clean and we all loved the lounge area with a kids' play area and free snacks. The location was great, it takes less than 10 minutes to reach the Xi Men Ding area and train station on foot. Staff were always friendly and ready to help. We also appreciate the free washing machine/dryers, and that the baby cot and baby bathtub that we requested for were already in the room when we checked-in.

One of our Deluxe Double Room was a bit small (I think the layouts differ between rooms) such that we didn't have space to fully open 2 luggages. Also note that the Quadruple Room is in a different building/area (right next door) from the Deluxe Double Rooms which could be inconvenient for those traveling in a bigger group.

Location is fantastic as it is mins walk from MRT. The pathway condition has slopes making it to push luggages around. Free laundry service with dryer in place. Staff is extremely friendly and well verse in many languages.

The room is really small. The walkway is only 5 steps long. You are unable to walk in the room after putting out 2 luggages. which makes it difficult to open the main door or toilet. every door opening requires us to shift the luggages again. and there isnt much storage space. so lying your stuff out and around is impossible. The bed is placed on a platform. The room is small and there is no night light. Making bedtime bathroom trips extremely dangerous. We tripped many times.

The whole hotel breathes and artsy vibe with some eclectic vintage furniture the social area where you can meet up, little corner with pencils to draw postcards. It's a very good vibe :) The free ramen is nice. There's also some small mostly salty snacks for free. If water or sth is missing just go downstairs and ask at the 24/7 reception they will help you!

Sadly I was completely unable to make the AC work in a way that wasn't too cold for my throat. That is a common problem in Asia though. Also the rooms are poorly soundproofed. The hotel does tell you to be quiet in the rooms and take the talks to the socials but I had to sharply knock on neighbouring rooms at 2AM anyways bc it really distracts you from sleeping if you have neighbours that aren't quiet.

Absolutely amazing staff that go the extra mile. We were travelling around Taiwan and the staff kindly kept our suitcase for over a week (with all of our winter gear from home) so we wouldn't have to take it with us. We only stayed there one night but wish we could have stayed longer. Room was very small, but comfy and clean. It was fine though as they have a huge social area with lots of separate seating areas and free snacks (noodles, chips and drinks etc) so the room is only really needed for sleeping. Excellent, cool looking hotel with awesome staff.

Cho Hotel staff were very friendly and helpful! I arrived on a very early flight and they let me drop off my luggage and had even delivered my luggage to my room when I came back to check in! The lounge area with free snacks and tea was awesome. A great spot for my friends and I to chat over tea and make our next plans. Very cool wallpaper and interior design as well, lots of charm. Really appreciated the free cotton swabs and other small amenities as well. My friend found her pillow uncomfortable and they even gave her a different one for the next night! Great service.

The beds were rather firm, but my friend tells me that this is normal for Taiwan.

What a gem of a little hotel! The staff are exceptionally helpful. Good price for a totally cool hotel in a fun part of town. Plenty of excellent places to eat in the immediate vicinity, easy to get to the MRT. We paid for the 'deluxe' - the room was small but the bathroom quite large and a with a great bath, just what I needed at the end of a long day. Snacks, use of washing machines, tea and all little conveniences are included in the price - what a refreshing change from being overcharged for everything in a large hotel.

Rooms are small and you can't open the window, I'm not so fond of air-con all night, although then you would have to listen to and breathe in Taipei city ...depends on your perspective. Needs a toilet hose/ bidet as in many places in Taipei toilet paper can't be flushed. Rooms can be a bit noisy, but not too bad and didn't really bother us.

Super friendly service...I stayed for the second time in a week, and my stored backpack was magically in my room when I arrived. They have a lovely common area with free snacks and light drinks. Rooms are very clean and well fitted out. Highly recommended.

Room was a little cold at night and I couldn't get the aircon to heat it. I should have asked reception, but didn't, so not a real criticism. Very minor: it looked to me like the stairs were for fire escape only. But maybe I'm wrong. I suggest allowing people to use them to save time and electricity. Maybe a sign indicating "stairs" would help.
