On My Way Taipei Hostel

Because this hostel was also the city's Information Center, its location was pretty accessible to where we wanted to go. You can walk 5 minutes to Beitou Park and have access to the public bath which is awesome. You can also go to the nearby shops without having to take any means of transportation. The train station was also less than a 5-minute walk.

There was this ventilation that is open to the hallway so whenever my husband and I would talk to each other inside the room, people who'd pass by the hallway could hear us. It's not a dealbreaker but it wasn't good for our privacy since I work at night and have meetings. So I was worried if other guests from the other rooms would hear me.

Such a great stay at this friendly hostel. Really enjoyed the little touches like the social space downstairs, the snacks that you can buy whenever, the free toast/breakfast and easy access to laundry. Also, the wifi is really strong. The location is very convenient: just a few minutes walk from Beitou station and close to hotspots like the springs, night market, and several convenience stores. It was fairly quiet at night, aside from the motorbikes/scooters who sometimes zoomed by the road below. Room and bathrooms are super clean and the staff were there to clean it at 12pm sharp everyday (so sleeping in can be difficult..)

There is no lift aside from a lift for your bags to be brought to your floor. Rooms go up to the 5th floor - also the laundry is located on the 4th floor - so this can be tiring

Best hostel I've ever been to. Incredibly clean, amazing personel, great location, comfortable beds and good instalations. I absolutely recommend it, plus it's close to a Red Line Metro station, which will take you to Taipei City Centre directly.

The only thing I didn't like at all is that you cannot lock the bathroom door when you're in it,, you can only do so with the cubicle door. But given that there is one shared bathroom per floor for both men and women, this can sometimes lead to uncomfortable situations.

Nice lounge first floor & basement for eating, socializing, etc.. 5. Very close to nice clean wet market where one can find all fresh foods, ready to eat and for cooking. 6. Many delicious food stalls around, not expensive. 7. Many spa locations of all price ranges within walking distance. 8. And more !😀

I stayed in a solo room and price was a bit high, and even for those they recommended not talking on the phone in the rooms. I think it’s because there is no window, there is a vent to the hallway that makes it not very soundproof.

Bed and blanket was comfy. No towels though so bring your own. Bathrooms were clean, well-maintained. There were free earplugs, dental floss toothpicks, cotton buds, shampoo and shower gel. If you wanted to wash and dry your clothes, there were hangers and a drying line outside. Locker was a bit small but you could lock it. Shelves for other stuff also with your bed. Beds have curtains. Location is great. Short walk to the MRT station and bus stations if you want to go to Yangminshan and Tamsui.

Curtains were a bit too short and didn't cover the entire length of the bed. The room I stayed in had a window facing the street so you could hear the traffic but it's not a biggie if you have earplugs

Everything. One of the best hostels I’ve stayed in. Staff super friendly (including the owner who sent us a treat for a small inconvenience caused by another guest). Really good place! Location might be out of the very central area of Taipei, but even this point is good, and you also are one metro distance to anywhere.

The location is close to the metro station which is good, it's not very close to the city center but it's fine for me. The room is clean and comfortable, nice common area as well.

The staff are nice but if they can tell us more about the area around for sightseeing would be better, which can help boosting tourists' travelling experience in BeiTou as well.

The staff were very friendly. They spoke both English and Chinese. There's no elevators, but there is a luggage elevator and the staff helped us with loading/unloading of our luggage. The room was pretty spacious and clean for its value.

The room had no windows. There isn't really much to do around. It's not a very central location. But if you are there to go to the hot springs, that's a good location.

Not enough public space, it seemed that so many staffs occupied at the first floor, so the clients could only went to the basement, just like you stay overnight at the stranger’s house.
