The Landis Taipei

Highly recommend this hotel for a short stay in Taipei! It's not within walking distance of the key attractions/areas but it is a short bus ride/uber ride away from most places. Service and staff were incredible - highly efficient, helpful and very good service during our stay. We had an early check-in, recommendations/planning suggestions for the next few days and taxi booked to the airport all sorted within 10 minutes due to the staff's capabilities! Room itself was very clean, modern and tastefully decorated. I liked the lighting features of the room! Bed was very comfortable, there were soft and firm pillows to choose from (little touches like this go a long way). Very well-equipping gym on the top floor of the hotel and there's a yoga room too

The Landis is an older hotel but it holds itself up extremely well with impeccable service and comfortable, clean rooms. It is not afraid of the newer competition because it already does what it does so well with grace, experience and precision. The rooms are definitely of an older and classic design, but they are comfortable, spacious and well maintained. Service staff will do their best to accommodate your request any time of day. As we get older, service standards begin to decide which hotels we stay in rather than just amenities, and in this case, the Landis is truly excellent.

The breakfast could be better for the price with more customisations like omelettes or fruits. The set themed menus feel a bit restrictive, but that is our personal opinion.

The design, atmosphere, and level of comfort and cleanliness were exceptional. The staff were incredibly helpful, spoke good English, and the hotel is ideal for the subway (less than 5 min walk, Orange line) and a taxi to Songshan Airport takes less than 20 mins (c.150NTD). The rooms were lovely, facilities and provided items great, there was very little internal or external noise, good beds, lovely bathrooms, and the room cleaning staff were incredibly efficient.

There is very little to actually dislike, so any comments are very much minor tweaks that could make the stay slightly better. Breakfast was good, but I think the balance could be improved by having less menu items to choose from, slightly more items on the buffet, and again slightly more varieties of fruit, bread, juice etc. available. The breakfast was very nice, but just slight tweaks, such as having marmalade and other jams available, maybe having bacon etc also available on the buffet as well as within menu items, would make the overall experience more satisfying.

Location is great, about 5 mins walk to the nearest MRT station. There are 7-11, Family Mart and McDonalds just around the corner. Staffs are friendly, helpful and they let us checked in before 15:00. The room is quite spacious and very clean. Overall a very cozy stay. Would definitely consider coming back in the future.

The WiFi quality is OK but not secure enough. I do not dare to use the WiFi because the connection is not authenticated and encrypted. If I were to do something bad, I can easily sniff the wireless traffic and steal someone's credentials. Being a 5 star hotel, I don't think this is acceptable.

This was a super hotel and we were very glad that we stayed here. The staff in every role were very courteous and helpful, the breakfast was very good, the rooms were large and clean and even the gym was large and well equipped. The hotel is located in an area surrounded by restaurants, less than 5 minutes to the MTR most of which could we walked in the shade / out of the rain.. Excellent hotel.

Staff are attentive, polite, helpful & prompt. Service delivery exceptional. Smiley & friendly doorman. Our family of 4 booked 2 rooms & stayed a total of 12 nights from Aug 17-23, 2023. Rooms are clean & well maintained .

The breakfast spread was good but it would have been better if they changed the ala carte main course options to refresh menu.

The staffs are very friendly and helpful. The room is nice and clean. The bed and pillows are comfortable. The bathroom has both shower and bath. I like the shower gel a lot.

Internet is a bit slow. I could still hear the sound from the street if I stay in a room facing the main road. I guess many hotels in Taipei have this same problem. The bread from the bakery didn’t meet the expectation and can be better.

I loved everything. This is a truly amazing hotel, much better than so many hotels I have stayed in. Super friendly and professional staff. Doormen in top-hats open/close your taxi door - they really go the extra mile. Everything about the rooms feel very premium. I absolutely loved the roof area with observation of the city. A great suntrap and there is also a sauna and gym here: basically heaven. I'll be staying here on my next trip.

Everything was perfect.

The breakfast was good. Buffet style with a choice of one special order (e.g. pancakes, Chinese style, vegetarian etc) The room quality was also excellent well fitted out with everything I needed for my stay. The bed was very comfortable.

While this is a great property, its not super central, although it is within a few minutes walk to the nearest Orange Line MRT stop. The neighborhood is ok - there seems to be a good selection of restaurants and convenience stores.

We are 5 of us stayed in 5 different rooms and rooms were spotless. They kept kettle for tea, coffee maker, 4 water bottles (unlimited supply as you require), iron & board, 2 fruits everyday etc etc. Reception people are attentive and quick in their action. Very good breakfast. It's at city center hence accessibility was great. All the Staffs were excellent. So, overall we had a wonderful stay in Landis Hotel. Highly recommended.
