Courtyard by Marriott Taipei Downtown

the room had an amazing city view and we could see the planes landing. the cleaning services was really nice. the room was comfy and the bed and pillows excellent.

the elevator feels like a nightclub, the music is so loud. the supplies in the bathroom were given for one person despite two persons on the reservation. the staff was somewhat not at the level of a four star. very bad experience at the lounge where employees forgot about us. also not all of them are comfortable speaking English. the food option is not good either. it’s either a buffet for 50€ or the lounge where the service isn’t the best or the in-room dining. the prices are very confusing for the food items. different menus but similar dishes with different prices.

The hotel is tastefully decorated and the rooms look new. It is also very clean. There are a 7 eleven and some small restaurants within a 5-min walk from the hotel. You can easily hop into one of the cabs lined outside the hotel and if there’s none, the staff will help you call for one. The staff is super helpful and attentive. Breakfast is yummy as well.

Not near an MRT station, but not a big deal as it is easy to get around Taipei with a taxi.

The hotel was new and clean. The hotel supplied black coffee powder in the rooms and the mugs were large. There was a counter and a table to use the computer.

The thing I disliked the most was the 10% "service fee" added to the price of my room when I checked in. No services were listed to explain this charge and I did not receive any services beyond the normal hotel room accommodation. I think this hotel should just adjust the price so the customer is not dismayed when they check in. It is embarrassing. The lobby feels more like an office building than a hotel, with a very corporate feel. Unusual for a Courtyard Marriott. There was a table in the room, and a counter, but no chairs. Just a settee.

- greetings was fine, staff full of smiles - twin bed room basically is big enough to have an adult and child to sleep together - taxi is always standby downstairs

- the location is off from the tourist area - upgrade to have Taipei 101 view basically is not worth - the quality of Buffet not yet up to the standards - foods range and quality

Location - Convenient, because it's close to different areas of Taipei such as Dazhi, Xinyi, and Shilin Decent breakfast - Buffet style Rooms - Clean, comfortable beds, good lighting, hot water, and toilets Staff - Well trained 24 hour fitness rooms

Breakfast - Breakfast time is way too short. Rooms - I thought the room will be bigger TV - Some channels don't work or lags Bathroom - No hot tub and water leaks out of the shower to the bathroom floors

Good location, excellent room facilities, quiet and comfortable. Very comfortable bed and powerful shower. Very varied breakfast.

Nothing really, although the toilet thingy made some funny noises during the night. I would have liked to turn it off

Convenient location overall, nice quiet neighborhood with good food options.

The desk is not really suited for work, and there is no business center or work area downstairs if needed. Also, an incredibly overpriced restaurant.

Clean and spacious rooms, very friendly and accommodating staff, good breakfast! Their attention to detail and cleanliness is commendable! We loved our stay.

there are 2 courtyard by Marriott. we went to the wrong one so it’s abit confusing on apps like Uber. I think Marriott should try to differentiate it properly.

everything in the room was fantastic

Room is cozy and spacy. 3 Check-in counter is crowded at 3 pm.-4 pm.

A bit far (600-650m.) Walk to some bus stations or MRT.
