amba Taipei Zhongshan

I like the modern design and cleanliness of the hotel the most. The location is also very convenient and close to all the hippest places in Taipei. Much better than the Amba in Xi Men Ding, which can be very busy and crowded. The last time I stayed here was 8 years ago and it has maintained a very high standard and still exceeded my expectations. I will come back and stay again!

I found the mattress and pillows a little too soft for my liking, which resulted in average sleep. The waiting lounge is also a little small with only 4 chairs - feels quite cramped and not so comfortable.

We had the corner room, the huge window allowed amazing amount of natural light in, the room has an automatic remote to get the roller blinds up and down, which is super cool. Love the set up of the room, huge countertop space and overall very spacious room to spread the luggage out.

I wish it was possible to open a window and get some natural ventilation in. But I understand a lot of hotel windows are all fixed glass.

Zhongshan is our favorite neighborhood in Taipei while Amba is about 500 metres away from Zhongshan Station (Subway Red & Green Line). Easy access to convenient stores, boutiques, eateries and morning market (Shuanglian). We enjoyed scrolling around the neighborhood - everything is within walking distance.

Thanks for all the great assistance that offered by the receptionists and they are all wonderful people! I have to say the pillows are super comfortable because I need those that have better support for my neck. Location is amazing and super convenient!

Modern and bright rooms that cover the basic needs. Lovely neighborhood that is fantastic to explore on foot. Price value, location and service is great. Can only recommend it.

Carpet in the room could be changed, feels not so comfortable to walk.

one of the front desk staff was not patient and forgiving in communicating in Chinese to non-native Chinese speaking guests.

Breakfast was good but wish there is more variety of menus. Overall it was good for its value and location is great.

wifi was difficult to log in to in my room 309 on the bed. I needed to get up and move to the door in order to sign in to free wifi. this was pretty lame. Someone should look into this.

There should be a proper bar in the Hotel, that's the only thing I was missing. Maybe a quiet corner for smoking

The location of the hotel is great, very close to MRT station and shops.

The bed and pillows were below expectation and there's also a lot of mosquitoes during summer season.
