AIRY Suvarnabhumi Hotel

I thought this was a really great deal for a simple and convenient airport hotel. I flew in internationally at midnight and had to catch an 8:00 a.m. flight out. I've stayed at the hotel on site at the airport, but it's quite pricey and this hotel offers a rate including round trip transfers from the airport so I decided to give it a chance. With the twists and turns of airport roads, I think this hotel is only a minute or two further than the on-site airport hotel anyway. The transfers each direction were both on time, friendly, quick and easy. Just make sure you let them know when your flight is arriving. I was worried that I didn't properly inform them, and sent them a last-minute message as we landed just in case. But they were already there with a sign waiting for me. The check in staff both late at night and in the morning we're super friendly and kind. A porter led us through the complex (it looks like the place operates under three different names and has several wings) and in the morning I noticed the really cute decorations around. The room was nothing fancy but had a couple of chairs and some desk space, a big bed and a TV with mostly Thai programming. The bathroom had a frosted sliding door but was decently private and everything was clean and usable. It was definitely not as fancy as the hotel airport, but a fraction of the price. I'm glad I took the chance of this place, I was completely satisfied with it and will definitely use it again on my next long layover. I know people get lazy and don't leave reviews unless they have a problem so often, so I wanted to make a point and leave this place a nice review that they deserve! Thanks again!

The bed was a bit hard.

I needed a room last minute due to an issue with my flight and that hotel did the job perfectly 👍 Cash is preferred but I paid with a credit card and it was accepted (3% surcharge). The rooms are pretty large and really quiet during the night (when the train is not running). Breakfast is average but pretty good value for money.

staff were very good help me a lot

The location is perfect for arrival and departure from airport, skeleton crew running the hotel I presume because of the slow recovery from covd 19 and then high inflation in the west so differcult to rate under normal circumstances.

The restaurant was not operational

The hotel is not served by public transport. It took a 20 min walk along a busy road to get to the closest metro station. The breakfast included in the price was not served despite mentioning it to the reception staff the day before. At least we got the money refunded.

Closer to airport

No proper options for breakfast and lunch There was no Wi-Fi in the rooms, only available in the hotel lobby. There was no airport shuttle facility, we had to book taxi outside.

The location was good, within 15 minutes of walking distance.

The bathroom was gross, we found 5 cockroaches there. The staff really wasn’t friendly, not flexible and not there to give us a good experience. We did not see a smile once. We came there at 1:30 but check in starts at 2. The receptionist pointed at the sign and left so we had to wait with a few other guests in the lobby. At 2 she came back and checked us in. The breakfast starts at 8 but we had a shuttle at 8, so we asked if we could get the breakfast 10 minutes earlier but we got a harsh no. So we fixed our own. When we came downstairs they forgot to book the shuttle so we were really laughing (but crying on the inside) then. Happy to leave that terrible hotel.

When I arrived, the doors were padlocked shut and no one was answering calls to let me in. I had to check in at another hotel who eventually got me in touch with this hotel by 1am. You should tell people if you plan to lock the property at a certain time, when they’ve been flying for hours. They tried to charge me a 200thb deposit for the room. You should tell people you are going to require a deposit so they can take cash out. They charge you for WiFi. I booked my room with breakfast - there was no breakfast the next morning. They weren’t aware I’d booked any breakfast and the restaurant wasn’t open. One of the worst hotels I’ve ever stayed in. Find a different hotel.
