Picnic Hotel Bangkok

The location was perfect for me. Near some lovely restaurants and shopping areas. Also the BTS was only a short walk away. My room overlooked the park which gave me a feeling of being away from the city. The breakfast was and always is to me, exceptional. The staff are always friendly and so helpful. It has brilliant parking, the hotel has a warm and friendly atmosphere. Great value for money.

I look for the good in all hotels, I am a traveller and don't expect to find a hotel that is like my home. For the money I paid I feel I had brilliant value. I love this hotel for all the positives, I do not look for, or feel this hotel has any negatives worth mentioning.

Garden view rooms were not allocated upon check in. However, check in staff managed to get one for me on the 3rd floor. Reasonably large bedroom. Food is easily available near the hotel. BTS Victory Monument is about 10 minutes' walk. Boat Noodles Alley near a canal is about 5 minutes from the BTS station.

The bathroom of my sons' room has no glass door inside. Water splashes everywhere when shower, thus making the whole floor wet.

Definitely recommended. Facilities are maintained well, and it's up to the standards. There's random leakage of water a bit, but it's just for a few mins, which can be avoided. It doesn't affect the stay at all. The room has a refrigerator, TV, sofa, 2 lamps , air conditioner and 2 twins or whatever bed you request. Housing keeping service is done daily . They provided 2 small and 2 big towels. The bathroom has enough toilet rolls and water bidet sprayer like UAE, so it was very convenient. Very quiet and peaceful hotel with good facilities. Toiletries are provided. The window is locked for safety reasons, but the room has enough ventilation, so it's not suffocating. Location wise , it's definitely a good area. There are 7 11 , supermarket, century mall with kfc cinema, watson, clothing and food shops, outdoor street food and fruits sellers, King power duty free mall, few amazing massage centres, less than 10 mins to victory monument BTS. It's around 10 or 15 mins walk to Palladium / paratuman / indira Market. On the way, there's a December mall, which you shouldn't skip. Less than 10 mins ride for tuktuk to Nana and MBK. There are few cafes for meals. Oh yes, they do have weighing scale on ground floor for luggage which helps alot if your shopaholic like me. 👍

There was leak of water but minor only

The 3-bedrooms room is very spacious, there's big space and bathtub attached bathroom. Hotel is very near to Pratunam market/ Siam area. The traffics were very bad during rush hour, do plan ahead!

The attendant that we first met during the check in day was trying very hard to promote that he has contacts for transportation. In the next few days when we saw the same attendant, he will ask where were we going and have we book any transport yet. I've rejected him politely initially but he kept on promoting harder.

The area is not so busy but basic needs are within reach. BTS Victory Monument is a few minute walk. There is a mini mall connecting the BTS station. If you are up to walking, Pratunam Market, Central World and Siam Paragon are 15-30mins walk depending on your pace.

Last time we had a nice view of the park. This time it was electric cables and the eatery on the other side of the street where you can hear the noise of the revelers. Good thing we are tired of walking around for the day that we eventually slept on them.

The Picnic met my expectations, not luxury but good value for money in a good neighbourhood in Bangkok. Breakfast was ok and there were several restaurants and bars close by within walking distance. The wonderful Double U coffee shop had excellent coffee just a minute away on foot.

Nothing I didn't like except for one of the porters trying to trick us saying we didn't have enough stamps on our postcards when in fact we had even more than enough when checking at the local post office. The porter offered to take the postcards and buy the extra stamps which we didn't need.

1. Location: 5 minute walking distance from BTS station, lots of mini marts and streetfood stalls nearby 2. Room: very clean, hot water with pressure, welcoming drinking water and milktea everyday. The room had a lot of space and natural light in the the morning

1. The beds were hard, the air conditioning at room 514 worked noisily, we can not open the door at the balcony 2. Receptionists were not really friendly for all the days we were staying. No smile. It's a little bit hard to talk with them, eventhough when we checked out, they did not tell us anything after they check the rooms until we asked them that we can go or not, and there was no words to say goodbye...

- Breakfast included: fried egg toast jamm rice chicken noodle stir fry vegetable or cold salad and fruit. Coffee tea juice - location perfect near BTS victory monument but also black line to airport 650m. - seafood market next door have great food, mama is a great chef (lady with orange boots) - palace massage next door have awesome massage (ask for renie she is cute funny and have strong hands) - gym across the street 150b - 7-11 across the street - some bars close by with live music have good atmosphere. - amazing staff 9/10 would stay here again

- bathroom have little bit mold in the shower - bum gun for toilet so powerfull it hurt..careful when use! - balcony door locked not open - ac a bit noisy

Location is strategic, several food stores and massage shops nearby. Take A3 bus to the hotel from the Don Mueang airport, just around 400m walked to hotel (Stop at Opposite Rangnam Road). BTS Victory Monument also a walking distance. Super convenient. Room is clean and quite spacious. I like the mattress, not too soft, and quiet at the night. I have a good sleep at the night. Welcome drink while check in. Polite and helpful staffs. Would come back again if I travel again to Bangkok. P/S: Roasted pork rice is super nice, the store just a walking distance from the hotel. If you come out from the hotel, just turn left and go straight, you will see the roasted bread and roasted pork food store at the roadside (on your left). If you love the crispy pork skin, you must try it. I ate it at the morning, I think they operate until noon.

good location, lot of street food around, 10 minutes walk to the train or big shops/malls, nearby park. 2 glasses for the bathroom sink. big shower cabin for 2 people. valet to carry your luggage and take you to your room.

bed mattress too hard, room not looking so well, some cracks in the wall's painting, cracked paintings, little dirty walls, some lights fall down, but still hang on the ceiling, I got scared a little. no mobile shower, no bath robe, no slippers, no small towels, maybe because of the standard room. can hear national anthem from school nearby.
