Hotel Zurich Istanbul

Location was fantastic - very close to both a metro and tram station. Lovely little restaurants around the hotel - we loved the breakfast at Metro and döners at Abbas. Room was neat and clean, duvet maybe a bit small but wasn’t an issue. Housekeeping was excellent, providing our room with fresh towels and water bottles every day. I saw a lot of past reviews complain about noise and soundproofing but I have to say that we had no issues with noise (we stayed on the second floor). Breakfast was lovely with several options available such as fresh breads and pastries, cheeses, olives, cereals and hot breakfast items. The coffee machine was also great and on some mornings we had a pianist for entertainment which was a special treat. We arrived about six hours before check in time since our flight was very early. we planned to store our bags at reception until check in time and explore the neighborhood so long even though we were exhausted. Luckily, the concierge offered to get our room ready for us earlier at an extra charge of about 10€ and we were able to get to our room for a hot shower and nap by 9:00. Worth every cent! We were also able to store out bags at reception for a whole day after checking out since we only needed to leave for the airport in the evening.

Everything that reminded us about our stay. The stay was made convenient and comfortable. The Reception staff was exceptional and house keeping. Over a very good stay.

Weak Breakfast and unpleasant lady who was serving us Orange juice like we were forcing it from her pocket, it was all inclusive. Need maintenance it is an old hotel.

Reception staffs are so tough and not smiling.. soundproof is very bad.. the annoying of bar that stayed till after 2am.. the shower place is opened so water goes out.. One time during my shower, the water was stopped suddenly, I called the reception, they said there is maintenance.. Breakfast time should be till 11am.. Most of these points are also mentioned from many people before, but the hotel didn't change anything..

Location is close to metro station and in quite walkable distance from all major attractions in Fatih area. Not so much hilly so walking is not a torture. Many shops and dining spots around are open till late night. Very good breakfast is served on the rooftop with a decent view. Sweets shop across the street has a nice (not too sweet) baklava.

Although location is pretty good, take into account that the area is restricted for car entry and can be closed sometimes so taxis won’t get in. And taxis are reluctant to drive into that neighborhood because of that. Air conditioning was not working in hallways during super hot days outside and distance between elevators and room was like walking through turkish sauna.

The location is convenient. Many shops and restaurants are around. 5 min walk to Sulaymaniya, and 15 min walk to Fatih Mosque.

The breakfast is the same all the days.

We booked this hotel in an emergency situation via booking.com. Everything went fine, we got the confirmation within minutes.. we were able to check in immediately. There was no unneccessary waiting time nor overheads. Compared to the other hotels in Istanbul, where Staff seems to have a great time.. laughing and joking among each other.. but ignoring the customer waiting right in front at the reception, my experience at Hotel Zurich Istanbul was just great! Staff at the front desk and concierge were caring and very obliging!

Super hotel in the old center with a lot of shop, bar and restaurant. Very good location. 1 min. walk from metro and tram. Very pleasant staff all hotel. Breakfast nice and beautiful view because you sit 7th floor (roof). Very nice restaurant and good food Lotus restaurant also at the roof. Pool free. Spa is expensive. if you want information, excursions, help you have to go to the guest relation and the very friendly Guzal Perla will help you. She helped us with all 👍 Thank you Guzal.

The staff were very friendly and helpful, the rooms were very clean. Cleanliness 10/10. The doormen were very helpful with the luggage. And at the reception they were very nice. Special Thanks to ahmet and ali they were very nice, helpful and always with a smile on :) The location:10/10, verything you need near you, bust stations, metro, shops,restorants. Lotiz lounge on the 7th floor was a good place to have a late drink . There was a pianist at the breakfast it was very pleasing and relaxing! I love it!

-The breakfast buffet wasn't rich (vegetables, spreads,desserts) -The lightning of the room wasnt good, the mirrors are dark( its challenging to put makeup on/get ready in natural lightning) -the pillows weren't comfortable:(

My mom stayed at Zurich and mentioned that she very much loved the abundant breakfast that was offered.

We will be more than happy if you could please take a moment to give us 10 points. Perhaps the hotel management would like to consider changing the wording and ask their customers to rate them according to their experience, not according to their expectations. My mom mentioned that at the hotel they asked her to rate them as 10 too. This happens in other hotels too, those managed by the Russian speaking staff - somehow they believe that pushing customers into rating them high is an ok thing to do. Very sad.

Location, Safe Hotel, Good Room A/C, lots of staff available..... Hotel in general is Good one of the best in the area but can improve.

TV channels Bad Smell in bathroom. Asked for a wake up call & a taxi for early departure..... wake up call NOT Called & taxi was quoted, 750 lira to Istanbul airport but was charged 900 lira by taxi driver !!! TAXIS ARE NOT USING TAXIMETER, they say it's because of traffic & having to use the highway etc..... only to charge three/four times the normal rate !!!!
