Sogut Hotel & SPA Old City

The room was very clean and staff were friendly and the food was great

The noise from renovations. The workmen were even working night time not minimising their noise

We arrived later than usual due to delay in our flight However, the communication from the hotel was excellent. I had communicated with a young kind gentleman called All. He met and took us to our hotel when we arrived bleary eyed at 0300 hours. He would be on the night shift with his colleagues mainly and was always a pleasure speaking to him, getting tips and advice. Staff were amazing all the way through. Really engaging and really kind and courteous as well. Rooms cleaned daily as you would expect and items replenished. Room size for 2 adults and child was great. Location was amazing - 5-10 mins walk to Train (to Taksim) and 5-10 mins walk to Metro to access the line (to Beyazit Grand Bazaar / Aya Sofia and Blue Mosque at Sultanahmet). Plenty of regular shops in the area as well as restaurants a very short walk away. Really good competitive pricing for 8 nights. Really enjoyed my stay and would recommend - so long it's in the new side of the building which has the much nicer/cleaner rooms.

We were originally given a room larger than the one we requested. However, this was older and I wasn't keen on it. However, within a few days, following a discussion with Alp (Reception), he gave me the room cards for two rooms to let me choose where I want to be with my group. Ended up in the room as per the photos and from then I was really happy. The breakfast wasnt great at all. Only thing I enjoyed was the boiled eggs and coffee. It's traditionally Turkish style breakfast which isn't for me.

The hotel located in the Center, you can assess the City Center easily. The staff are nice, hotel environment and Breakfast are good..

What i don't like in the hotel is some rooms are too close to each other that when knocking on room A and you are in room B , you would think it is in your room..

we had the breakfast in another near hotel RAMADA and it was very nice and comfortable I recently had the pleasure of dining at the breakfast restaurant of RAMADA they send us there to take breakfast . I have to say, it was truly a perfect experience. From the moment I walked in, the ambiance was welcoming and comfortable. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, making sure that all of my needs were met. The menu was diverse and offered a great selection of breakfast items, including traditional favorites and some unique options. I decided to try the egg with vegetable and cheese and it was absolutely delicious. The ingredients were fresh and the flavors were well-balanced. The portion size was also generous, which made me very satisfied. The location of the restaurant, inside the hotel, is also perfect for travelers. It was convenient for me to have breakfast before starting my day, and it saved me the time of looking for a place to eat outside of the hotel.

I don't have any thing which I did not like

We appreciate Omar and Sabri's tremendous assistance and support throughout our stay at the Sogut Hotel. We got a lot more than simply standard room service. Everything was perfect with their assistance, including the taxi, VIP night out restaurant, and the on-the-spot PCR request. They made our vacation very wonderful. Throughout our stay, we enjoyed 5-star service, and as my companion and I said our goodbyes, our baggage was both carried to the car and to the room. Additionally, Nazli, who was in morning service and breakfast, was cheerful, upbeat, and ready to provide any requested service. If we needed anything at breakfast, she would be there to help and provide 5-star service for us. We were pretty fortunate to have the Sogut Hotel while they were working there, and we will unquestionably stay there again if we visit Istanbul. I have seen numerous locations and stayed in other hotels, but I have never experienced hospitality like that at the Sogut Hotel. It smelled wonderful in the hotel. Sanitizer was available at the entrance, and a free hot drink, such as coffee or cappuccino, was available downstairs. To muffle noise, the halls were carpeted and spotless. The breakfast was excellent. Anything that you enjoy eating for breakfast is available. various cooked eggs (even you could order how to cook or make an omelette and personalise it to your taste). fresh vegetables, a variety of meats, olives, cheeses, vegetables, and fruits. The area was incomprehensible. Near the destination you want to travel. We didn't really need to hire a taxi because there were enough of shops, restaurants, historic, tourist, and artistic locations nearby.

We had the last room in the hotel and WIFI was not so great there, sometimes we had to get closer to the room's door to receive the signal.

We had a great stay, the staff is friendly and very helpful. The hotel is honestly very calm, clean, spacious and overall nice vibes. Breakfast is good with the typical Turkish specialities in a buffer style. A big thanks to Omar from the staff, an amazing gentlemen who never hesitated to help us and provide us with everything we needed!

The only pain point we had was the heating. The central heating system was so intense that we were forced to keep the windows open. I hope the hotel will figure this out because it's such a waste for such a great experience overall!

The spa experience was expensive and poor. Would not recommend. The jacuzzi was cold water, the massage room was freezing, the therapists phone kept ringing and she kept answering it, the water in the Hamam was cold, and treatment rushed. Reported to the manager and apology offered but no offer of any refund. Just to note, the hotel is directly opposite the mosque so expect to be woken very early by VERY LOUD call to prayer.

It's a good hotel with good service. Staff is kind and polite, food is quite good. Also it's a good location, not too many people, but also not too far from some historical central places. Room is comfortable and with good light, I could work there, that's a big deal for a hotel. :)

Spa is not included and also it's a different owner. It's not a big problem, just as it is.

I liked the location of the hotel close to the bus and tram station, you can find shops and restaurants around but the hotel is situated in a quiet place. The cleanliness of the room and the whole hotel is really good. The staff were excellent, always smiling and ready to help, special thanks to Adnan for his help and for Hekmet.
