The White Swan

Brilliant staff, excellent breakfasts. Good quality heavy curtains in room to keep most light out. Flat screen TV, tea and coffee making facilities in the room, bathroom toiletries supplied, all nice and clean.

The doors were a wee bit noisy (banging shut), some machine whirring outside our window all night, workmen starting early, it just got a bit noisier from 6am. Maybe we just had the wrong room! The hotel is a bit out in the sticks, with a half hour walk to Arundel, maybe 20mins if you're not knocking 70 lol!

The room was neat and clean and on the ground floor. The breakfast was exceptionally good as there was plenty of choice and it was individually prepared for each customer.

We had no heating in the bathroom and so had to ask for fresh towels on the second day as we had no way of drying them. There was some misunderstanding about the evenings meal on the first night. We had said when we booked in that we only wanted a snack in the evening and were told we could go into the restaurant and ask for a sandwich up until 8pm but when we did this we were challenged and although a table was found.I felt very uncomfort.

Great location, nice rooms and the staff all very helpful. Would highly recommend. Great location for a week end break to Arundel. 2km walk along a footpath at the rear of hotel. Dog friendly and food was excellent.. would stay again.

Nothing at all, for the price exceptional value for the price.

There wasn’t anything we didn’t like about hotel. However it is situated on a busy road which wasn’t a problem with in the hotel but we like walking and crossing the road to go into town was a bit of a challenge. Driving in is not a problem

The inn was beautiful. Very clean. My room had a nice view. Taxi to town easy 8 pounds The meal I had. Trout and potatoes is one of the best I have ever had and I travel all over the world

Very friendly staff, good food, nice and quiet rooms to the back. We had a very pleasant stay, thank you to all the staff.

Breakfast was superb! Great choice and very tasty. We had dinner the first night which was nice but a little expensive. Our room was lovely.

The room was very clean and comfortable. Breakfast was a fair price and the cooked brekkie was good quality sausages and bacon. The staff were helpful and the pub was nice to hang out for a few beers.

Not the fault of the hotel but there are 2 hotels in Arundel, this, "The White Swan" and "The Swan". We thought we had booked the other one which was in the town. A little annoying that we had to use taxis to go anywhere. The hotels should agree on a name change. They are both pubs so it very confusing. We only knew when we took a taxi from the station and the driver said it happens nearly everyday.

Stayed with a large group of friends, 19 in total, for a night away while visiting Arundel Wetlands Centre and the Castle. Very happy with my room and had no complaints from anyone else. Bed comfy, large fluffy towels, shower good as was the wifi and plenty of parking. Staff were extremely helpful during the organising stage and also the whole team were brilliant while we were there. We pre-ordered dinner and tabs were organised for people to pay individually as we were on a B&B basis. On the whole food was good .... what you would expect from a pub. It came out quickly and was lovely and hot. Breakfast was very good with a large menu of hot food to choose from, from cooked to order. All in all a very enjoyable stay.

Perhaps that it's on a busy road but no one I spoke to complained about traffic noise. It is possible to walk into Arundel from the hotel without going along that road, although we all drove in. Parking gets very busy in the town quite early in the morning at high season so if you can walk (just over a mile) that's a good option.
