Perfect location, beautiful room that was well decorated, lovely powerful shower. selection of free condiments as well as a mini bar if required. All was clean and bed comfortable with a good selection of pillows. the staff were polite and very helpful. breakfast setting was stunning and food absolutely delicious with locally sourced food. loved it and can’t wait to stay again.

Loved the breakfast room and outdoor seating option. Cleanliness of hotel and standard of decor was excellent. Staff were excellent and friendly owners. Lovely old building. Proximity to town centre was great, 200 yds.

Would have preferred King size bed, but we knew that it was standard Queen size when we booked. (Room 11, the blue room).

Location near to town centre. Not the cheapest we have stayed in but well worth the extra! Best breakfast we have had served in the garden on a sunny morning. Really can't fault and have booked again for later in the year.

The room I stayed in was twice as expensive as my friends and located just off the garden and the reception making privacy an issue

Everything was fabulous! A warm welcome from Jurg and Chris made us feel very comfortable. Our room (Room 1) had a roll top slipper bath which had the fastest fill I’ve ever seen! Bubble bath and champagne in a stand made my day! The location was fantastic, with the beautiful city of Chichester literally at our feet. The little lane outside was very quiet, yet a short 2 minute walk takes you to all the restaurants, pubs, cafés and shops. The room was warm and the décor beautifully done - classy and tasteful. Breakfast (served in the garden room) was the best we’ve had - great young chef in attendance. Bean to cup coffee too - perfect. We will definitely be recommending this hotel and be returning.

The room, although at the top, was perfect for me. There was space to spread my things when I needed to! The TV was a bonus - with all channels! The tea and coffee facilities were also good. My only 'objection' was that the wardrobe didn't have hanging facilities for dresses! But I did manage. Breakfast was cooked well and the service impeccable. The hotel's situation was nicely placed as it meant the tourist sites were near-by, in walking distance to the things I wanted to see.

The blind at the window was broken - it meant that it did not open or close properly - but I was able to roll it so that light could come in!

wonderful location and the rooms were like walking back in time. All very large and sumptuously furnished- exquisite. The bathrooms were immaculate and luxurious. Staff were friendly and accommodating Breakfast was lovely and the home made bread a real perk!

the rooms were very dark - while I see the appeal to keep in line with the furniture style and evoking an 18th/19th century style- it was not good for my mum with severe eyesight problems. The walls could have been painted in an appropriate colour for the theme while not being so dark, such as a sage green. This should not prevent enjoyment of the gorgeous building and rooms- just was a minor inconvenience for me, and if others have a visual impairment they could ask for a lighter room, knowing some are dark.

A nice greeting from the owner, then to be shown to our accommodation. The garden cabin. It was private and well equipped, mini fridge with soft drinks & alcoholic beverages. Clean & nicely furnished. Comfortable bed and lovely linen. A powerful shower. Breakfast was well catered for, a good selection and enjoyable to sit in the walled private garden. So peaceful to say your in the centre of Chichester. Garden beautifully maintained. It was enjoyable to use it one evening for pre dinner drinks. We walked into town and had a meal out. Visited West Witterings two days and East Witterings the last day. Would certainly return. 10/10 from us. Thank you

Don’t have any negatives about the hosts or property. Just be aware that if you drive here there is only parking at a nearby pay & display.

We were in a ground floor 'budget' room on the street side. The room was lovely, if a little small - and I'm used to a bigger bed but that's my only criticism and realistically something I should have expected. Clean, smart with the best shower I've ever used. The proprietors are sociable but not intrusive and breakfast was very good. The dining room is at the rear of the hotel and is as smart as the rest of the hotel. At the back is a beautiful garden where a decked area invites you out for a drink on a summer's evening - a pleasure we hope to take next time we visit.

Chichester is a wonderful city and East Walls Hotel is the place to stay. Central location, friendly people and Sunday breakfast in the walled garden an added bonus.
