Really lovely spacious rooms in a beautiful Georgian house along with very helpful staff made for a wonderful trip. We knew the area (Liverpool 8) well and it made a fabulous base to explore the area we lived in in the 1980s. The hotel is also very convenient for exploring the centre of Liverpool and the docks. The room was clean and the shower worked well. There was tea, coffee, nice-smelling toiletries and big towels, a wide-screen TV and lots of storage space - the fridge was a nice touch. The wifi worked very well and the huge double bed was comfy.

Only tiny details - the bathroom was a bit cold - it didn't benefit from the good electric heater in the bedroom due to layout:- some thicker curtains and a heated towel rail would have helped (and possibly the latter would cut down on laundry if people want to replace towels just cos they are damp).

+Lovely Georgian decour. Clean room, no smells. Fine room temperature. +Large room with wardrobes (only 4 hangers though) and fridge, hair dryer, dressing room table. +Good water pressure in the shower (although operating shower could use instructions: you have turn on the electrics of the shower from outside the bathroom). Also a couple of hooks on the wall would be nice. Looks renovated, also heating fan functional. +owner replies quickly +Easy access

Some small things_ - Entryway had broken tiles etc. so at first I was scared what had I booked, but the room was renovated nicely! - Windows are single and thin so you can hear the traffic of Upper Parliament street, the blinds and thick curtains help a little though. - They had made a twin out of a double room by taking the mattress topper off a double bed and pushing the beds slighly apart, so the beds were a bit harder as twin than double. - Breakfast was only heavy fatty English breakfast with sausages, beans, runny egg, toast etc. No fruits/veggies or mysli/yoghurt available, only juice. - Little toiletries (only small wash gel as hand soap) -It's a good 2 km walk to the Pier etc and it takes the same time to catch a bus as to walk.

The staff were great and check in was really easy. Even managed to secure parking right out front which was great. The room was very clean and comfortable. 5 minute walk to some nice bars and restaurants and about 15/20 ish to Liverpool centre. Again excellent. Tv and teas and coffees and nice clean towels.

Personal opinion is the price is a little over what I'd like to have paid and based on some of the images from the website against the actual room there was a small downgrade in the overall presentation. Staff also right by the window at 9.20 in the morning. I would still recommend overall though. Below I have my pictures next to the website for balance.

The room is large and nice decorated. The property is close to the Philharmonic Hall - the classical music concerts there being my reason for visiting the city.

Although there are large windows, I couldn't find the way to open them in order to get fresh air, which was annoying especially for a 4 nights stay. The curtains were missing part of the thing that allowed me to close them and I couldn't block properly the light that awakened me every morning earlier than I expected. The plumbing system in the bathroom might need a check-up, after 4 days the sink was completely blocked. Since there is no one at the reception ( only the housekeeper that doesn't understand/speak proper English ) I couldn't asked anyone to solve these problems during my stay.

This property was comfortable and clean. There aren't noise in the night, the is possible be relax. I recommend take breakfast in Hope Street or preparing in your room. The administrator was comprehensive with my check out, then I had one more time for my pick up. Thanks you!

The doors are heavies between the room and bathroom. Both were separate and It wasn’t comfortable. Is necessary know that this hotel has a self service, there aren’t receptionist. The neighborhood is nice, but it’s not close to downtown. I recommend ask a Uber, is fast and cheap. Nothing else!

Great value for money and the room was very nice. Had everything we needed except an iron board so I couldn't iron my clothes before going out for my birthday with my cousin. After travelling down from Scotland with my clothes in a rucksack meant they were wrinklier than a pensioners chuff. But I soldiered on, went out like a tink and had a great night. Got blootered, flung out a club but had a lovely room to go back to with a working fridge that kept our bottles of tonic at a very nice temperature ready to have the neck sunk and battle the whitey and exhaustion from the night that fealt like suhin straight out of project x or the hangover the shower definitely helped and it helped it was clean enough I didn't come out dirtier than I went in like some hotels. All in all great hotel and great value

Nothing actually other than our train home being cancelled and being stranded but that's nothing to do with the hotel I just had to get that in

The bed was very comfortable. The room was large and spacious and everything was very clean. The carpet was old and rucked up in the middle, but the landlady apologised for this beforehand. The staff were very friendly

It was impossible to fill the kettle from the tap, we had to fill a glass and empty it in - supplying a small jug or a bottle of water would solve this. It would have been better to have got the key code the day before - by the time the email arrived we were already on our way, and it was sheer luck that we got there just as the manager was coming out. It was also difficult to tell where the front door was - maybe put up a clearer sign?

Free on-street parking right outside the door of the hotel was great. We were too early for check-in so we made prior arrangements to leave bags in, and did straightforward self check-in later on that evening. Everywhere was really clean and maintained, and all the rooms we were given were really nice and well appointed. I had room 3 to the rear of the property which was huge! A big bed with adjoining area for tea and coffee leading to the huge bathroom. Loads of storage space in the room. My friend had room 4 which was at the front, with a little table and chair in front of the sash window, again well appointed with lots of wardrobe space. There is a cafe in the basement of the hotel which is great, really nice value for money all day breakfast, staff excellent and very efficient service, again everything immaculately clean.

Nothing with the hotel, but it should be noted on booking.com that there is an on-site cafe that can provide meals. The rooms to the front of the property have a little noise from the traffic, but it is on a main road in a big city so nothing you can do about that. If you want total quiet, take a room at the rear of the property, I heard nothing all night.

The room was spacious and very nice, with a beautiful big window overlooking the garden. Check in/out was very easy, as we were given a code to a lockbox with the key. Even though we were on the ground floor near the entrance, the room was very quiet. Location was good, close to the Anglican cathedral and a short walk from the city centre or universities.

No matter how I set the dials, the shower only seemed to have two temperatures: scalding hot or too cool, with no comfortable temperature in between. Also, one of the curtains had come slightly off its rails, so didn't quite stay closed all the way.

Lovely hotel, beautiful interior hallway keeping the old fashioned vibe. Bed was so comfy and room was lovely and clean. Facilities were good, tea coffee making facilities in your room and also a mini fridge. We did find that there weee an ironing Irn. sure the you asked for one it wouldn’t be a problem. reason marked down for facilles due to no bath, but the shower was strong and lovely. Location is good, not too far from things
