Grainger Hotel

Despite seeing the reviews of the hotel, I took a chance to reserve it and my stay exceeded expectations. Clean rooms, friendly staff, and a surprisingly cozy atmosphere made it a pleasant experience. The city centre location was convenient, and the affordability added value. A solid choice for budget-conscious travellers seeking a comfortable and hassle-free stay.

It was cheap considering how close it was to the main attractions site. Free Secured parking . Very Friendly staff . Option to late Checkout.

The room’s interior deco could use a touch up- feels antiquated but not in a bad way . Hotel management should pay attention to making the bathroom sturdy ( the toilet sinks moved with fast water pressure - no door latch for the bathroom)

comfortable, nice and convenient for the price, I’ve read some bad reviews but I guess it’s from people who expected the ritz for the price Grainger charges. it is what it is, is what il say, staff were nice and friendly, bed was comfy, shower work etc everything worked as should. for £92, it’s ideal.

bathroom sink only produced hot water but not the end of the world. it’s a good hotel

The room was well presented, clean and good facilities in place with the bottle of water and hot drinks that were available. A big thank you to the member of staff who checked me in and very kindly upgraded me into a double room for no extra cost. It was very much appreciated having done The Great North Run so additional room for my legs was fantastic.

nice decor and location

the staff need customer service training. not welcoming at all. rather rude if you ask me. specially her that checked us in can’t even crack a smile. face like absolute fiz. no wonder the hotel didn’t look busy I certainly won’t be back

Impeccable service, spacious and clean rooms. The staff was exceptionally courteous, ensuring a comfortable and memorable visit. Bit far from central location, the hotel provided easy access to attractions. I highly recommend it for a superb blend of luxury and convenience.

No breakfast.

The location is nice, plenty of shops, cafes and restaurants around. Walkable distance from town, staff is lovely and helpful, clean bedding, tea-coffee making facilities inside the room. Overall had a nice experience, I’ll stay again if I’ll come again to Newcastle.

Nice place with an ambient light and relaxing environment. Moreover the rooms are cleaned and properly maintained according to my needs. The staff is also very helpful and trained in terms of guiding me. I would like to stay here more if I get a chance.

The receptionist was so polite. Got clean room, comfy bed, cheap price, great location, what else I could have ask for. It did the job for me and will recommend it to give it a try if you look for budget options.

There was some maintenance issue with the lift.

The proximity to the city center and St. James Park is a major highlight of this hotel. Being able to explore the vibrant city without having to travel far was incredibly convenient.

The rooms are small but enough for a single person with a limited budget.
