Recently stayed at The Stones hotel and I was most impressed. The location was ideal for me and really close to both Salisbury and Andover which are areas I generally frequent. I was pleased to see such a large car park at the hotel and it was perfect as I've previously stayed at city centre hotels and car parking can be a nightmare, especially as I have a large car to park. When I checked in, Claudia at the Reception was so polite and professional. She mentioned that the hotel now has a gym so I managed to use the facilities and it was fantastic. My bedroom was so large and had a really comfortable bed and the best power shower which I have ever used. I didn't eat in the Restaurant but instead I ordered room service and the gentleman who brought my meal was awesome. I had changed my mind at the last minute and wanted a dessert and he was so courteous and happy to bring this for me. Breakfast was plentiful and once again the service from the staff was spot on. It made my morning to see smiling faces from the staff who were happy to engage with the guests. I had booked one of the meeting rooms at the hotel for a half day meeting and I was glad to see that the room was perfectly setup with every piece of equipment that I needed. I've been in situations before when some hotels cant find equipment and has delayed the start to my meeting so when I went to check the setup of my meeting room at The Stones, it was pleasing to see that it was ready with everything I had requested. Apparently the hotel recently had a massive refurbishment of all their conference facilities and are due to do the same with their bedrooms so I can't wait to see what they do to the rooms. Overall, I would most certainly come back to The Stones hotel whenever I am in the area. I give it 10/10 for location, service and facilities.

Location is perfect to explore Salisbury and Stonehenge. Personnel was extremely helpful and friendly. A big THANK YOU to all of them, at the reception desk, bar, restaurant and breakfast service. It was a great improvement compared to my previous stay (2016). The room (#307) and bathroom were very comfortable but lighting was rather poor. Very good beds, raher hard but no back pains, regardless. We only stayed one night to visit Salisbury cathedral on our way to Cornwall. We enjoyed our dinner at The Stones Hotel very much! Breakfast was elaborate. The restaurant (which also serves as breakfast room) is cosy and had been nicely refurbished since my last stay. Excellent, big car park in front of the hotel. The price of the room is incredible! Perfect hotel for our short stay!

There is a "buzzing" sound outside. If I remember correctly from my last stay, it has something to do with the fact that there is a working farm nearby (generator sound??). It did not bother us because it was mainly audible in the bathroom but I guess some people may find it a nuisance. There was no light above the mirror in the bathroom which was not very practical.

We had about 13 rooms booked, most were great but 2 were very small, couldn’t swing a cat, too small for 2 adults. For those who didn’t checkin online, the checkin took too long, staff could not locate the bookings in the system, eventually they did. Bar, night and breakfast staff were excellent, friendly and very helpful. With a large group they allowed us to use the terrace on Friday night. Great parking facilities.

Sunday breakfast service was poor, I believe this was due to lack of staff. One server and chef. Ran out of tea bags, tea spoons, coffee machine not working, had to ask for food to be stocked.

I found the room to be tidy and the beds to be cosy. It was easy to find a parking spot and the staff members were friendly and helpful. There are also regular bus services to the centre of Salisbury. For breakfast, they also offer milk alternatives.

There were no apparent vegetarian/vegan alternatives for the cooked breakfast, except for the eggs and beans. There were a few different continental options, but I'm disappointed overall. The price was also rather expensive, especially considering the lack of cooked vegetarian options. We went to the local Harvester for breakfast for the remainder of our stay.

The location was great, ground floor room with accessibility for disabled. Breakfast was included great value. 2 chairs in room along with a table very helpful.

Access ramp for disabled is at the other end of the building from reception. Blood stains on pillow, reception changed it immediately, as you'd expect. Finish on rooms a bit iffy, if a professional company did it, I wouldn't be impressed. Breakfast was OK, scrambled eggs a bit overcooked. Rest was tasty but forgot elements, so had to ask for them. Kitchen was closed in the evening, so had to go out and get takeaway. Would have been helpful to know in advance.

Fresh clean room Crisp clean bed linen Clean modern bathroom Great staff Thd expensive restaurant had gone. The replacement menu is much more varied (but a steak option would be nice) STP brilliant The location is great. Quiet room on ground floor. Easy access and a great night's sleep

No steak on the menu. (Although the other choices were great!) Shower tray was very slippery. A rubber mat would help. No biscuits in the room to have with my cuppa An extra towell would help. I'm a big lad. Fresh pot of tea at breakfast would be nice

The staff were extremely polite and helpful throughout our stay.

We booked a delux double bedroom. When we arrived we were shown to a twin bedded room. We complained at reception and they gave us complimentary drinks whilst they prepared the delux double bedroom. However, there was a missing bedside cabinet and light which meant that one of us had no means to put anything bedside. We raised this with reception and they apologised and gave us 2 complimentary breakfasts. The quality of the breakfast was excellent but cold and there was no 'continental breakfast' for one person.

I stayed at the Stones Hotel because it was literally across the road from the Highpost Golf Club of which I had a National competition for a week. it was very handy to walk across to the course everyday. The rooms have been refurbished so clean and tidy. Bathrooms excellent. Walk in shower ..excellent. The restaurant is a Marco Pierre White & service & food very good.

The room that I was in didn’t have any draws to put any clothes in. There was just a Very small hanging space ( 6 hangers) Although a standard double if there was 2 people in the room you’d have to keep your clothes in your suitcase!!!

Modern facilities and very fancy place to stay. The staff was amazing and met every need and concern we had. The staff went out of their way to make sure everything was done no matter what time ect and we will definitely be going again and recommend it😊😊

Just the cleaners did not change the bed as we asked. But it was rectified by after us saying they moved us rooms to a brand new room 😊

Room was clean, we had a snug twin which was snug! But actually everything in there we needed and a decent bathroom with good shower and complimentary shower gels etc to use. Had experiences with 3 different staff members, all of whom were friendly and polite. Hotel overall very smart, nicely decorated. Some scaffold up on roof (for repairs I assume) but didn’t bother us. Good value for money, especially in comparison to some of the larger chain hotels I’ve stayed in recently!

Some of the paintwork in room looks like it had been done in quite a rush…that really is my only criticism but that’s just for the sake of having one to write that’s all.
