Really nice and idyllic place near Salisbury. I really liked the atmosphere and the local beer (house draft) was good too. I also liked the home cooked italian dishes that were served up, it was simple done well. The room was nice, everything was clean and comfortable for me. It was also near where I needed to work the next day, which is ideal when servicing equipment and had a decent car park.

The key is a bit strange for the room, it's like a wooden baton. but i'm just 'nit picking here'. The shower pressure was a bit low, not really an issue.

Location was perfect , short distance from Salisbury. Room clean and warm on arrival. Very quiet as not over the bar. Sunshine through window in morning. Too much to choose on evening menu , we liked the sound of all . Breakfast and coffee not huge but that was what we wanted , extra toast no problem. Staff very pleasant and helpful . Would recommend to close friends as would like to keep it secret .

Really, nothing was wrong . Only thing missing was a charge point for our EV . But will forgive that ! Highly recommend .

Nice breakfast Nice place and friendly place. Good location.

Had a message from owners to say bar and restaurant open till 22hrs. Arrived just after 21.00 and ask for food as we hadn't eaten since midday, only to be told kitchen closed at 20.00. When we saw 22.00 on message we assumed that we could order until then. May they could rephrase their opening times with something like, food orders up to 20.00. Then there would be no misunderstanding.

Free and plentiful parking, good, warm welcome and well appointed modern room in an historic building packed with character. Good evening meal offered at very reasonable price in a characterful bar with open log fire and a good atmosphere, and spent a peaceful comfortable night in warm and quiet room, before enjoying a well cooked breakfast and plentiful amounts of coffee. All in all a superb stay, one which I'll repeat if I need to attend to work in the Salisbury area again.

Nothing really

the breakfast was very good and value for money.t was offered juice or tea or coffee butjuice as well as tea. The breakfast choice was either museli and toast or full english but continental would have been good.

The stairs to my room were steep and being a senior citizen i would of liked to have been made aware of this plus being shown to my room would of been appreciated..The tv was a little small and difficult for me to follow as i have poor eyesight.

Room was small but sufficient for our overnight stay before heading to Stonehenge the next day. We had dinner at the hotel and meal was awesome. A fully cooked English breakfast was included in the cost, and was a great start for the day. All of the employees were very helpful and polite.

A small fridge in the room would have been good to keep our water cool amongst other things. Did not detract from our stay

This hotel is very well located. It has its own parking spots. The room was very quiet, super clean, comfortable and with a beautiful view to the garden. The day we arrived, there was a Mexican Menu for dinner. I am Mexican and I was quiet surprised by the coincidence. I admit I was a bit sceptical and kept my expectations low. We booked a table at their restaurant that has a beautiful decoration and bar. We got a nice Tequila shut. We were told the Chef is Rumanian: Mrs Tina, who we had the pleasure to meet afterwards. Mrs. Olivia, the Manager of the hotel was very friendly, warm and professional at all times. I must say the dinner was excellent. The taste, the ingredients, proportions and presentation were impressive and made me feel at home. Afterwards, we had the honour to get to know the Chef who told us about her passion to try-discover new recipes. Ah, and the home made cheese cake was unbeatable!!

Olivia and Philip were very welcoming. We stayed over Christmas as we were visiting family in Salisbury and the inn was the perfect place to stay - affordable, comfortable and clean room and a cosy fire in the pub. There are fantastic places to walk nearby including Grovely Wood with an old Roman Road and the Handsel sisters' trees.

We were without a car and although buses run to/from Salsibury every 2 hours, there was no transportation on 26 or 27 December. Life in a small village! Limited operating hours for the pubs during this period mean you have to plan your meals ahead of time.

Great location, in a lovely little village, only a short drive from Salisbury, the beautiful Shaftsbury and Stonehenge. Our room was comfortable and clean, breakfast was great and the staff were lovely. Would definitely stay there again and recommend it to anyone. We just wish we had been staying a bit longer.

Nothing! If I absolutely had to find something not to like, it would be the brand of tea bags in our room, but that is an entirely personal thing and no reflection of the venue!

Everything the rooms were excellent clean, fresh and warm good showers too. The value was great £70 per room including breakfast!!! Breakfast was possibly the best i have had unbelievable value, fresh coffee and quality ingredients, Apple juice fresh like it should be. I will be staying here again when I visit Salisbury. Thank you for a great visit.

Well being very picky, coffee in room was let down Nescafe original 🙄 not nice. Fresh milk and a fridge would be beneficial and would make the room and experience 10 out 10. Again thank you I have been around and this is the best value and best breakfast I have experienced, and I have payed alot in the past.
