10/10 stay! Perfect for a family travelling with a four legged pal. The staff and locals make you truly feel at home and the passion of the owners shines through throughout. The rooms have recently been refurbished with a huge king size bed and lovely amenities. The shining star is the local food at the pub, the local produce is amazing and you feel like you're really investing in the local area. There's also an amazing farm shop vending machine outside with local milk, such a clever idea! We'll be back.

We were given a standalone "apartment" which meant that we had our own front door so we didn't need to worry about late access. The Chef I believe was also the person checking us in and he was super friendly and helpful. It was a simple place, but a very comfy bed (my main criteria) and a very big modern telly which was nice. Tea and coffee facilities a bonus in the morning.

Nothing really. Maybe the electric shower could have been a bit more powerful, but it did the job

We were told there would be continental and cooked breakfast, but in the morning no-one appeared to be around to order anything so we just had a banana and coffee and then left the room key on the bar. Bit of a pity as the staff had been so friendly the previous evening.

The rooms and beds have been upgraded from our previous stays and are much better!

It would be nice to have breakfast included or even as an extra. However we did understand that it's a lot to do with only two people and we're sure once they're settled and have staff, it will be available. 😊

Super helpful hosts! Visiting as musicians performing for a huge village fair - Mike and Emily were so accommodating for us all even though just one of us stayed - couldn't have hoped for more!

The shower was too hot for me personally and didnt have a cool enough setting for me .. but there was a bath as well 🙃

Perfect overnight stay in recently refurbished rooms after a charming welcome.

My husband had to free an Australian couple from their room after their doorlock got stuck and they couldn't get out which for him was kind of nice being able to help but surely not for them.

Extremely friendly staff couldn’t have rated them better

Only downside I would say is the noise from the road when the window is open but this is to be expected on the main road

Friendly staff and atmosphere, food was excellent.

Shower needed a shelf and bathroom could use a bin. Breakfast is basic and really needed a Decaff option for teas and coffee.

Lovely private self contained 'apartment' on the side of a well run pub in a quiet village just on the edge of the New Forest. Staff were kind, attentive and very helpful.
