Great location along side the river and short stroll into Salisbury. Arrived early, so sat in the rear garden which is very nice, and had a good lunch. Staff very busy, only 1 person on bar and checking guests in. Room up one flight of narrow stairs, not an issue for us, no view from room, only a flat roof. Clean and tidy. Friends another flight up, withview of the river. Had a very good meal in the restaurant on the evening. Friendly helpful staff. Good choice for breakfast, although again only one member of staff, who was trying to help everyone.

Ran out of tea bags and milk, had to ask 3 times before I got any. The "make up room" sign was hanging on a hanger, we only saw the "don't disturb' bit so our room not cleaned after our first day. Parking problematical, very small car park, only about 6 or 8 spaces, always full, we were staying for 3 nights. Had to park on the small road and not block anyone in living in the houses. Rooms on the expensive side.

A very attractive place to stay, a lovely historic building, in a scenic location, right by the water meadows with great views across to Salisbury Cathedral. About a ten minute, pleasant and scenic, walk along the footpath across the water meadows to reach the Cathedral and city centre, good for sightseeing. Lovely restaurant at the old mill provided a good dinner and a very satisfying breakfast, so no need to go any further to eat well.

Rooms are over the pub and its garden. Music piped into the pub garden comes into the rooms. Not too noisy on a Monday night, but might be louder later in the week.

Friendly staff, lovely location, and we had a comfortable nights sleep. Lots of character. Its also a pub and I think they serve evening meals as well. * Ask for a room at the front overlooking the river, as this is what makes the Old Mill special. We had a good breakfast and found the location a pleasant walk to the center. There's a car park for the hotel.

There is no lift, as its a very old building. If you're frail, elderly or have heavy luggage the hotel may not be suitable for you as the stairs to the accommodation are narrow and steep. If your reasonably fit and healthy it shouldn't be a problem.

This is a beautiful old building that just oozes character. We arrived on a very rainy day, so it was very obvious that water was a big factor when it was a working mill. In fact you can see where the water wheel used to be in the middle of what is now the dining room. It is boxed in for safety reasons but fascinating to see. We found the room to be comfortable and clean with a renovated bathroom. Yes the floors undulate a little in places but that is just one of the reminders of the buildings age.

It did seem a little pricey, but that was due to supply and demand, they get full on the weekends.

Everything. The hotel is in a fabulous location. The only sound being that if the water. The premises are full of character, with all the facilities you would expect without any degradation of the historical building. The staff throughout our stay were faultless. Friendly, accommodating, professional and efficient. The room was lovely with everything that one would need. The food was of very good quality and well prepared. I have to say the full English was superb. Good quality produce cooked well . Throughout our stay, we were made to feel welcome. We will definitely return.

Nothing.

The location is fabulous with the town centre within walking distance on a path through the water meadows. The hotel is lovely - an exceptional medieval restaurant (with the original mill race plunging through a glass viewing floor) and a nice victorian building with okay hotel rooms. I was disappointed, having paid the premium for 'the best rooms' to have one that didn't look over the front and the millpond (our view was over some gardens) - there should have a been a discount for that - but it was good enough for the single night we stayed. The food in the (ancient, comfortable and pleasant) restaurant was very good and not just pub food - although I did have fish and chips (where the batter was the most perfect non-greasy, crunchiest I'd ever had!). My wife had some chocolaty-dessert which wasn't very nice - but then she shouldn't have been greedy. The staff in the restaurant were lovely although those in the pub/reception were a little frosty. Thoroughly recommend the hotel (and beautiful Salisbury). The cathedral is visible from the hotel so that gives it great ambience

The reception was a little curt and frosty, and the room wasn't as premium as others (they had a view of the millpond whilst ours looked over the back gardens) although the same price. The TV reception was horrendous - no BBC1 and ITV kept cutting out so getting the news was out of the question! There was only a shower where a bath would have been lovely but it was a small mill house room!

The hotel is in a lovely location by the water complete with swans and ducks. If you manage to get a spot in the parking lot, there is a well-traveled, paved path that let's you walk into Salisbury to visit the Cathedral or varied restaurants/shops without having to move your car or pay for parking. The staff were pleasant and professional, and the rooms were clean. One caveat, if you're tall, you may have to stoop a bit to fit in the beautiful but short shower. We included the full English breakfast in our booking, and it was tasty and very filling. One of our family's favorite stays in England for it's charm and beautiful location.

The Old Mill is a beautiful collection of buildings on a stretch of the river Nadder, before it runs on and joins the river Avon further into Salisbury. Check-in was friendly and efficient and I had the single room 7, on the 2nd floor. My room was newly refurbished in a very tasteful and contemporary fashion. Everything I needed was at hand - even switch sockets with USB-A and USB Type-C (PD) outlets built in. WiFi was the fastest I've ever seen in a Hotel (140 mbps !!). Breakfast was generous, well cooked and served in the beautiful restaurant overlooking the stream. It was a heavenly stay..

Second visit to this beautiful and peaceful mill. Love the sound if the water lulling you to sleep. Breakfast has plenty of choice and isn't rushed at all. Cereal, fruit, toast, full English, sour dough with avocado was delicious. Plenty of coffee in the little draw under the kettle in the room. Shampoo etc provided. Fan and ear plugs also. 15 min walk andyou'rer in the centre of Salisbury down a peaceful tow path whilst viewing the cathedral all lit up in the evening. Will definitely be back again! Alice was a joy at breakfast and was lovely chatting to the chef too.

Clean well decorated room with fantastic view of the river. The setting within the mill added a lovely character to the hotel. Breakfast was enjoyable and staff very friendly and helpful. Location of the hotel was very convenient with just a 15 minute pleasant walk along the river into town.

At peak times the hot water ran out for showers e.g. 8:30am on Sunday. There appeared to be a power-shower pump next to our room that was constantly starting and stopping 24hrs a day making it difficult to sleep at night. Being above a pub it was a bit noisy until 11pm.
