The hotel building is I would guess Victorian, so rooms have lovely high ceilings and look over West Park which has a boating lake and makes for a pleasant walk before dinner. Money has clearly been spent on refurbishment and everything was very clean. Windows are double glazed and have limited opening for security, however if you're not travelling with children the catch can be flipped to allow full opening and ventilation. All the staff were very nice and helpful. I dined at the Hamilton Restaurant which also serves non-residents and enjoyed dinner and also the breakfast. There's plenty of private parking and the entrance gates are locked at night for added security.
My room was shower only, it was an an electric instant heater type but still gave a decent flow. It was one of those self-contained corner units with half-round doors so not a huge amount of space. Note that the conservatory overlooks a rather mundane car-park to rear of hotel.

We arrived a wee bit later than expected due to traffic delays on the motorways. They had stopped serving lunch about three quarters of an hour or so before, however, the lady asked the chef if we could have food and yes we could order! It was so welcome and the food we had was really lovely, sat in the very nice conservatory. Our room was really nice and well appointed, a wee bit quirky, but good quirky! Very comfortable. The location was fab for the gig we were going to at The Wulfrun Hall, a 10 / 15 minute stroll into town. Also, Hubby does Park Run on a Saturday morning and that was about a two minute walk over to West Park! Lovely park. We were able to enjoy breakfast as it was served up until 10am, we sometimes miss out if the run is further away from where we are staying and they stop serving earlier. The breakfast was ordered the previous day, you got what you ordered and it was all really nice, not anything left! We would recommend A Park Hotel and would stay again if we have a need to be in Wolverhampton.
Just one teeny-tiny niggle, for the size of the place there was no dedicated lounge area, just a sofa and two chairs in the bar area. Not really good if the hotel was busy.

It is not often in the UK hospitality sector when EVERY single member of staff understands the concept of a Good Guest Experience. After looking at quite a few places, A Park View Hotel looked delightful. And it truly was. Meticulously clean. Normally I roll my eyes at things that have not been cleaned properly, but here everything was spotless. Felt so nice to walk into the bathroom with bare feet and fully enjoy the experience! At the bar, I asked for a glass of whisky and a glass of water, and the lovely lady asked whether I wanted ice (rather than just assuming) with the glasses themselves being crystal. Real coffee in the morning. The whole building felt properly cared for and well maintained. Park opposite meant it was quiet. Car locked up felt safe. Would definitely stay there again. Only there for one night at 45 mins away from my destination, but so pleased I stayed ther and not closer!
I had ticked the breakfast form. It turns out I should have put quantities in, not just a tick. The food was cooked to delicious perfection, but if you want two eggs, write two :)

For a 3 star hotel it exceeded my expectations in every way. If we are comparing to a Premier Inn there is just no comparison! Personal, friendly, attentive service. Excellent breakfast. Comfortable and very clean room with a lovely bathroom. Fantastic view of the park. Every single communal area shows attention to detail, even the smoking area is spotless and inviting. These guys deserve a brilliant review, and I’m very pleased to leave one. Booking.com however, well I ticked the box marked “one person” and they booked a two occupant stay, so I likely paid over the odds for an unused breakfast and half of a giant kingsize bed. But the hotel was so good I didn’t care about the money.
You could have provided the vibrating smoke alarm we discussed, as I’m too deaf to hear yours. However, I’m so delighted that you thought about it and advertised it prominently, and I did say I wasn’t too bothered, so no harm done there. How lovely it is to see a hotel thinking of hard of hearing guests, and thoughtfully displaying the info in writing at the desk. Bravo!

the food was really nice and the staff was very friendly.
the food was good but the coffee was terrible, if wasn't instant I would be very surprised. my feedback would be that I understand that you need to book the food in advance but would be nice to have some fruit available to help yourself and some snacks maybe like muffins or cereal bar so people can take it for a bit later maybe? The coffee was my biggest issue because its not expensive or difficult to have a descent coffee machine available, ether a barista style for the staff to make and serve or a help yourself one so the customers can refill if they want but there is no excuse for a bad coffee when you charge £100 a room.

it was away from the hustle and bustle of the city centre, but the town was 5 mins in a taxi. Hotel is quite small but all the staff were lovely and so welcoming. Big shout to the boss, Sat I think her name was. I couldn’t get a cab back to hotel and was myself in a strange city. I phoned hotel and she called me a taxi and made sure I got back in one piece. All the staff were so kind and friendly. Food was great, beds comfy. I’d defo recommend for a stay.
some of the stairs to rooms were quite steep, but apart from that it was great.

The bed was extremely comfortable, as was the bedding and pillows. Although right by a road, there was very little noise heard during the night which made for a brilliant nights sleep. The breakfast was really delicious, including a smoothie of the day which was a nice touch
Only a minor thing - but we mentioned prior to arriving that we would really appreciate vegetarian sausages as part of our breakfast, to which we were told we could fill out a breakfast form on arrival, which we did. We ticked veggie sausage and then the following morning, were told there were none available :( Of course not the end of the world whatsoever, but when you don't eat meat it feels important!

Welcoming staff carried our luggage to our room. It was during the heat wave and the blinds and curtains had been drawn, bedside lights on and a fan keeping the room cool for our arrival. I had packed a top sheet to use instead of the duvet but one had been provided in the cupboard (this is a first!!). The choices for breakfast are unlimited but what is even more important the quality of the food is outstanding and was cooked to perfection. The park across the road is stunningly beautiful with a lake, flowerbeds and a shaded mile long circular path.
This is not a purpose built hotel, although the bar and dining areas are well-thought-out modern additions. There are some ground floor bedrooms but the access to other bedrooms is a few steps up and a few steps down etc (but there are handrails and it certainly wouldn’t prevent us booking again.)

Beautiful old building, well maintained and very clean. Comfortable bed, well equipped and quiet. The owner and staff were very friendly and welcoming, Flash the dog too! it was our first stay in a hotel and I am very glad it was in this one because they went out of their way to help my daughter and I and couldn’t have been kinder. The breakfast was lovely and the restaurant very well set out.
The many short flights of stairs and all the twists and turns to get to the room, very narrow and difficult to bring up cases, ok if you travel light but my daughter doesn’t!

Staff at Park View are exceptional The breakfast is amazing such choice that it will set you up for the day It’s opposite a park and is only 15 -20 min walk into town and if several pensioners can do it then anyone under 60 can breeze into town There is no air conditioning but all rooms have large fans The hotel is like a very large house with stairs up n down but this is part of its charm The rooms are cleaned daily and restocked with milk tea coffee biscuits and the beds are really comfortable A hidden just
