Quality Inn Athens I-65 / Huntsville Area West

The lobby looked in order and was clean. The room was clean. The bed was comfortable. The location was close to the interstate for me to resume my journey home.

There wasn't any staff present at check-in. The phone at the desk was ringing (twice) and there wasn't anyone present to answer it. I waited 8 minutes for someone to arrive so that I could check-in. I was told that there weren't any rooms available on the ground floor and only stairs available (no elevator)

The customer service was excellent

Booking.com charged me in addition, to me paying at the hotel. I booked with them, showed up at the hotel, checked in & notified Booking.com that I was all signed in; yet, they charged me and so far (since 10 July 2023) has refused to reimburse me. I have filed several claims and sent proof of my stay, bank receipts, but still; they have not settled my claim.

Quiet and comfortable. Great hot/cold breakfast with plenty of choices.

There were crumbs in front of the full length mirror and the table between the beds had not been cleaned. It was obvious that these things were just missed. The rest of the room was well cleaned. The front desk staff was sincerely apologetic and said they had a new cleaning staff and would take care of it.

The bathtub water would t shut off. Very disturbing during night, even with bathroom door closed. Front staff said they knew about and had reported it previously. Should t rent that room without fixing.

Fix the leak! Also, sink was clogged somewhat. I did report it. Breakfast eggs were semi-warm, which didn’t get us off to a good start the next morning.

Breakfast was good but the Orange juice was out. Room seemed to have been recently renovated.

Had a difficult time finding the place after getting off interstate. Traffic was heavy and we missed seeing street name and the motel sign was lower than signs of other businesses.

Beds, Linens, and room were nice and clean and the breakfast was very good.

On the booking.com site the information for the room that I booked said it was on the first floor. When I called the motel to confirm they said my room was on the second floor. They said they were unable to change my room because of third-party booking. The morning of my arriving they called my phone to tell me that there was a downstairs motel room available but that I would have to cancel my booking reservation and rebook at a $20 higher rate per day. You need to either change your room descriptions or the Motel needs to honor what you are writing. The consumer is reading and expecting one thing and then the motel is refusing if I feel that expectation. That makes you both look culpable especially when the person who's trying to book a ground-floor cannot do stairs do 2 a handicap.

The location could not have been more convenient. The room was safe and clean. The staff was friendly. There seems to be a problem with billing, it appears that we were charged for two nights and only stayed one night, will call the office in Athens and our bank.

Food was good. Waffles were really good. Above expectations

Bathroom shower needed to be updated Obviously their had been issues in the past and the repair job was sub-standered but usable.

Breakfast was plentiful and delicious! Location was excellent. Staff was very helpful with a great suggestion for a supper restaurant just down the road.

Eggs were a little over cooked, but everything else was excellent!

Great location and facility for traveling with our dog. Main floor with outdoor access made it easy for trips to grassy area. Checking staff was exceptionally helpful!

There was no visible “Quality Inn” sign from the main access road.
