7 Gables Inn & Suites

I like the place, the location is very convenient and homey feeling. Staff are very considerate and accommodating. Rooms are spacious and clean. I have stayed here multiple times and its a 8/10 for me.

They have a lot of occupants and the parking is not enough. The place is clean but somedays cleaners miss little things like a vape i found under the bed which management gets right to it. Some rooms are not arranged well like TV is on the left wall but the bed is facing 90degrees from the TV, or one other room has a fancy poles which was in the way when watching TV. But not really a big thing to some people.

A lovely old house, with a very spacious and comfortable living room area. A great place to relax and read or meet other guests and chat. Hosts were generous with things like including coffee and tea at no charge. The breakfast buffet was one of the best I have ever had. Real cloth tablecloths and napkins. Instead of the same tired scrambled eggs and breakfast meats, they offer a breakfast omelette tart sort of confection, with a mixed fruit crumble.

Location. Ease of finding it. Comfortable and warm Room, bed size and amenities. Coffee and tea facilities were very welcome as it was really cold coming from outside, Friendly owner. The owner accommodated our request for vegetarian options for breakfast. The staff was very friendly and helped us with information about surroundings.

We stayed 5 days in this location. First 2 days we did not know where the breakfast room was as we checked in late the previous night and the kitchen and breakfast rooms were in different floors and we were not aware of timings so we missed it the next day as well! Sign post to let the guests know about the dining hall location and breakfast timings will be useful.

Because I needed to get on the road early, I was up and out before the breakfast was ready, but from what little I saw of the kitchen, it looked like it was going to be quite a meal! The room was big and spacious, the bed was a king size firm mattress, which I love. The bathroom had shower and a jacuzzi tub. The hostess, Leisha, was very sweet and accommodating.

This inn is located in a very quiet neighborhood. The noises of the city are distant and non-intrusive. We slept with the window cracked open all night and it was very peaceful. My special treat was the jetted tub. Hot baths are a rarity in my Alaskan life so each opportunity to have a long, hot soak is cherished. Our visit was pure joy as we celebrated a milestone moment in our marriage.

There was nothing not to like.

The property was really interesting and pretty. I loved the greenhouse out front and the stained glass. The room was comfortable and had a good shade for the window (which is hard to find in Alaska surprisingly enough). The bed was comfortable. The room had a huge tub with jets. The jets didn't work that well, but it was still nice to have. The breakfast was also extensive, with oats, eggs, waffles, coffee, juice, cereal....all kinds of items. This place was one of the best values that we found on our whole trip!

This property is definitely unique and not everyone may like the layout. It's in an old house and has a lot of stairs, so it would be a difficult place to stay if you couldn't climb stairs.

The accommodation was excellent. The room was very well appointed and the spa bath was a great bonus. The breakfast was OK but the amount provided of some items ran out and was not restocked promptly.

The breakfast supplies need to be monitored and restocked more frequently.

Friendly helpful staff. Comfortable clean room. Setting much more like a bed n breakfast than an inn or hotel.

The office and entrance was nothing like a normal hotel so we were taken back by the ""welcome". So glad it was daylight when we got there as we surely would NOT have gone in at night.

We have been to 7 Gables Inn and Suites a couple of times already and have stayed in different rooms. Every time, we are very pleased with our stay. Nothing has really changed since the first time we stayed in 2012 and that is actually a good thing. The location is great, the rooms are nice, cozy, and simple with everything you need for a short stay, the house is warm in the winter, and the breakfast is good. The rooms on the second floor are somewhat quieter than on the first floor. The owners are doing their thing and you are doing yours. As long as you are respectful and comfortable with that, you will have a good stay!

Nothing. Just one little thing: the bed sheets or mattress cover are noisy.

Very comfortable, spacious room with a frig. King bed. lots of plug ins. the gardens coming in were pretty. The breakfast in the morning was elegant! Very tasty and served on real plates with table cloths and cloth napkins! We were treated well!

If you had mobility issues, it wouldn’t be a good for, because there were stairs.
