SpringHill Suites by Marriott Fairbanks

The location to items of interest in the city was great. Lavelle restaurant was great! Appreciate the friendliness of the chef to engage with appreciative diners. Food was excellent. Loved the Caesar salad. Pot stickers, etc. Hostess was so nice and accommodative! Encourage guests to visit visitors center and the museum at the University. Excellent exhibits and videos.

The sign on front desk with information on that days aurora probabilities need to have a date and time on the top. Occasionally it was for the prior day. Consider having a 3 ring binder with a map with names of restaurants with their menus. Ditto for companies that offer special tours, aurora oriented, mushing and snowmobiling etc. Move the brochures that you have to a more traveled location in the hotel.

We loved how great food was a walk a way! It was also the center of lots of pick up for tours and everyone seemed to know where it was. It was also great to have a great tasting, local-going, restaurant below the hotel. We found so much convenience with our stay especially during below 0 weather. We were warm. The front desk went above and beyond to help us with our medical need when we arrived after midnight (the plane got delayed so that wasn’t under our control). AND! GREAT breakfast!

If I had to say one thing, it would be the toilet. It was one of those toilets with the middle of the seat having a gap, not sure if that makes sense.

The location was excellent. It is between the Chena River and old town Fairbanks. Lots of free parking when we got our car. The breakfast was excellent. Lots to choose from.

I would have like to be on a higher floor. For some reason, they gave us one of the handicap configured rooms. We didn't ask to change.

The staff was very friendly and went above and beyond to help us when needed and answered any questions we had before and during our stay. The room and pool area was very clean as well as the front lobby. Parking permits given if you have a vehicle free of cost so you don't have to go search for parking downtown. The security deposit on the room was only 20$ and normally is 100+ at hotels so that was nice. They have a decent snack section with drinks to purchase also in the lobby.

Amazing customer service always. The first time I stayed, they let me check in very early so I wouldnt have to just hang around waiting for my room. The next time I stayed, I had a very noisy neighbor and another guest must have complained, but security was there in a heartbeat and handled the situation very gracefully. My shuttle was then delayed by an hour and they accommodated me and let me check out a bit later. The suites are perfect- built like a little studio apartment. Everything is always clean, plenty of entertainment choices on TV if you're staying in. Beds are super comfortable. They may be a bit more expensive than most other hotels in the area, but its worth every penny if you wanna have a little taste of luxury and outstanding customer service. 10/10

Although the hotel is in a central location in Fairbanks, because it is downtown there were lots of homeless surrounding the area which made it feel very unsafe. They do have a nice restaurant within the hotel and some cafes directly behind the hotel so you do not have to stray too far.

I attended a family reunion and needed a hotel I liked everything about my stay at the hotel. It was perfect, convenient, and close to other family nembers.

The hotel was extremely clean,, the restaurant located inside the hotel had extremely good customer service and great food. Thanks for everything.

very friendly, helpful & Covid safe. Loved their shuttle. Location was within walking distance to many places.

internet was Horrible!! yes i know I'm on vacation in Alaska...but when you've been out all night watching Northern Lights it would have been nice to relax with tablet to unwind. The front desk tried to help & even got us a technical phone talk...but that didn't help. That is literally my only complaint!

Breakfast was great because they had real breakfast food items available which is hard to find during this pandemic. We also loved the gym and laundry services there although laundry can be a bit expensive but happy they had the option.

We stayed for 10 days so sometimes parking was difficult so we had to park at their second parking lot which is across the street.

Good location - right downtown with walking access many restaurants. Breakfast was good and they did a great job providing options while maintaining Covid protocols. Bed was comfortable and the room was clean and fresh. The staff both at the front desk and at breakfast were very friendly and professional.

Parking was a little scarce - I think we got the last spot in the lot both nights that we were there.
