Best Western Plus Chena River Lodge

the hotel is well maintained and rooms are large enough for stays of several days , breakfast is free of charge and of good quality, good coffee is available free of charge all day in a self-serving area in the lobby, location is great - short drives to the airport and downtown Fairbanks, WiFi is stable, gym is free of charge

the smell of weed is everywhere, the 4 to 6 lane main street in front of the hotel is busy and noisy all day and night, the layout of the rooms and bathrooms could be more convenient (no armchair in the room, not enough space around the desk, bathroom sink just outside the actual bathroom with carpet instead of tile floor), the gym is very small

Love how exceptionally sanitary and sparkling clean the entire hotel room and the community areas in the hotel were in the very same surprising condition.

Really don't know what I do to get the night desk clerk and the other young lady I think she was actng as a security staff and I am 48 years old and when I was returning to the hotel room after having a very nice day going to dinner with family and cocktail after. I stopped by to get some fresh and clean towels and get a extra pillow... They were both very much rude and cussed me saying that I was drunken and get into your room Android any other towels and things you want" from your house keeper "you must be getting out of the room so they can come to clean up and I never got any other towels and pillows.

The place was nice and accommodating on check in after my son’s high school football games. But the older gentleman working breakfast REALLY MADE MY WHOLE DAY. He was friendly, talkative and turned on the football game over morning coffee!!

Someone breaking into a truck and destroying a Guys property. Seemed like the suspect was a known addict. However Best Western DID get 3 State Troopers on site with in minutes of the incident.

We like your front desk staff, they are very helpful. Breakfast is simple but is ok, they told me that they have hard boil egg but I didn't find it on my visit. Pancake maker only work for one day, we had bagel instead.

Nobody come to clean our room, we asked to put on ticket for cleaning but they didn't come that is the 3rd day. The sink drainage pull was broken, we just pull the drainage tap out. No water boiler in our room, we had to go down to the lobby to get drinking water or hot water.

For some mysterious reason they start construction at 6am. Why don't you think that your guests might sleeping yet, your guests have flight last night at 1am and they chose our hotel cause it's close to airport.... Anyway it's beautiful hotel, but this was absolutely horrible to hear heavy construction at 6am

Location, comfortable, loved the bed, breakfast was great for grab and go. Try the waffles even though they come wrapped individually. And the pancakes were surprisingly delicious too being that they came automatically out of a machine and was ready in 60 seconds but still delicious. Even comes with strawberry, blueberry, or maple syrup. I had our dog there and the pet friendliness was awesome. My dog has a hard time walking on linoleum, cement, wooden floors, etc pretty much anything but carpet and the outside ground Haha but the front lobby had flooring she wouldn't dare even try walking on...smh lol but there was a back door she could go on and out of with carpet flooring from outside to our room 😁 Also, there's a nearby coffee shop that yall have to try. Plus the convenience of fred meyers across the street among the bank Alaska usa, a car parts store across the Street as well. The hotel is right on the highway to leave and minutes from other stores, convenience stores, and restaurants 🙂

Just that one front desk clerk had tried judging me by my friends appearance telling her she couldn't have breakfast then calling me stating that my card was declined and to bring my card and ID and then had a shocked face after seeing me and apologized for the trouble but still tried making me believe my card declined any transaction when I get a notification of my card was to ever decline any transaction and I never received one that day, or ever. But after apologizing, then she asks what I would like from the grab and go breakfast and that now it was ok for my friend, who was also a guest in the room, to eat breakfast. Other than that. It was perfect.

Guests above me having a wrestling match until after 2300 & 3 calls to the front desk. Staff just as if not more frustrated by those guests as we were.

The staff were exceptional, friendly and kind. Rachel at the front desk was an angel! The homemade cookies were delicious. There was a huge snow storm that dropped almost 2' of snow and they went above and beyond to help push out cars and shovel. They never stopped running the shuttle.

The beds definitely need to be upgraded. They were too soft and had seen better days. It would be nice if they expanded their vending machine food options.

OK for an airport stay over before going home. Staff were not as welcoming as normal. The self serve breakfast was good with a decent selection even for a coeliac! Shame that so much plastic cutlery and wrappings were used (cups individually wrapped)

Very dark room. Too much throw away plastic.

The place was very near the airport, super clean and super comfortable. our room looked as if it had been newly renovated. The staff always tried their best to be accommodating to our needs! And the breakfast was a little limited, but the absolute best hotel breakfast we’ve had since Covid hit:) Every staff member tried their best!
