Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites Tucson Mall, an IHG Hotel

The staff was amazing. I had a lot of questions and they were helpful and friendly. I asked for dinner recommendations, nightlife recommendations, extra coffee pods and they were so helpful. I asked about where to watch the sunset and they put us in a room where we could see it from our window! They just went above and beyond. The room was clean, spacious, and comfortable, but the staff was amazing.

The tv was on, playing the news, during breakfast. Every channel was running coverage of the gun violence hearing in Congress. There were graphic descriptions of gun violence that I didn’t want my 8 year old to hear about. Other guests asked the staff to change the channel and they did, but we couldn’t get away from it. The staff apologized and said they would like to help, but company policy requires the news to be in during breakfast. Maybe you could make exceptions?

For me, the location of the Hotel was great. I did not eat any breakfast as I had my own food. I drove to Tucson by pickup to attend a funeral for my brother and after the funeral I left Tuesday afternoon two days early. I understood there would be no refund for my pre-booking the Hotel room. Since this was an emergency travel I wanted to be sure to book the hotel for as long as I thought would be necessary. Once the funeral was over there was no need for me to stay in Tucson especially with the hot temperatures. I also needed to get back to Montana for my 80 year old wife.

Pretty much everything except for recommended improvements. Very impressed that housekeepong wanted to clean our room during our stay. It seems most hotels inform you that there will not be any housekeeping unless requested.

The bathroom floor tiles were cracked and loose. Also the body wash dispenser needed to be replaced.

location, breakfast was good, bed was comfortable, shower water temperature was hot, and ac got ice cold.

was only 1 person checking in and it took at least 20 minutes to wait and there was a long line gathering. first room we received had hair on the bedding, they and the second room they moved is to the room was just okay, but had they just replaced the bedding the original room would’ve been better - there was no issue making the arrangements. walls are thin, but with the ac running you couldn’t hear people talking and kids whining. pool looked unkept.

I didn't like when I booked the room it said nothing about a 100 dollars deposit would of been nice to know .. plus in the room could use some work done on it the vent over the spa tub was falling off. The door to the pump was broke

the breakfast was great and the room was so fantastic especially for the price!!! well worth every dollar, will definitely be staying here in future visits to Tucson. truly a beautiful hotel in a great area

personally i would have enjoyed a potato option with breakfast or some bacon but that’s just me, the items that were present for breakfast were great

we liked the appearance of the hotel, the standard of the room, the quality of the mattress and the breakfast. One of two days we stayed there, the pool was not accessible, the second day it was: nice pool and hot tub being in the shade of the building from afternoon on - appreciated in hot sunny Tucson. Shopping Mall in walking distance

narrow isles making it difficult to get along with luggage carts (minor problem…)

The person at the front desk was great. When you walk in to the building it is very nice. The rate we paid for the room was good. The bed was very comfortable and the pillows were nice. Close to food and shopping. We had to cancel our last night and did not get charged because we were able to check out before 11.

Our room was a bit run down. Several floor tiles were loose. Room had finger nail clippings, food on desk, crumbs everywhere. They had placed the sticker on the door with the clean sign, but it was not very clean. Shower curtain was torn. Tub had hard permanent stain. The vent in bathroom was very loud. Chair in room was broken. No extra pillows or blankets for pull out sofa. Nobody answered phones for extra bedding or towels. Had to go to guest check in to get what I needed. No staff around. Only had one person working to check in people and give out towels and blankets. The one person that was on duty was very nice and checked us in very quickly.

Maria is away amazing sweet and helpful. She always makes my visit here comfortable. Knowing she is there to help. The Stay before this one, one of the restrooms had pee in the toilet and a band aid in the shower. So Maria helped me right away to another room. That room we had some issues with the door not accepting my key card. She was kind and caring and very patient. She stayed by my side to make sure everything was good and that I was happy. Once again I hate to say anything bad about this place cause I absolutely love it here. But I just wanna show just how great and helpful she and the staff is every single time. When I checked out this trip the guys behind the desk were funny and kind. I love this hotel and the staff. Can't wait to enjoy more time here. And as always the beds and pillows are the best and super cozy! Love it!!!!

I love my stay here always! Everyone is great and helpful. This trip did have a few things I hate to be a bother and bring up. The lights didn't turn on above the sink/bar area or the entrance hallway. The refrigerator was leaking water and had a puddle at the bottom. The comforter and sheets had red blood stains. I didn't wanna get in trouble for any of these things but I didn't wanna be a bother and ask for another room.

Decent hotel, clean facilities, good breakfast!

When I booked on Booking.com , I reserved a King Suite but when we arrived at the hotel, I was told all they had was a 2-Queen Suite. I was looking forward to sleeping next to my wife since we had been away from each other for a few days but we ended up sleeping in separate beds for comfort. If I had known a King was not available when booking, I would have booked somewhere else. Booking.com and the hotels need to coordinate this better if they want to get it right.
