Highlander Motel

Cute little motel in the quite part of town. Loved that we were close to everything but without the noise of the downtown area. The owner was very helpful and friendly. He fulfilled my request for extra shampoo and towels, even after the office was closed. The rooms are exceptionally clean. The linens gleamed white!

The King size mattress in our room was broken down on the side closest to the door. My husband and I kept rolling towards that edge of the bed. It made for an interesting night. LOL Also the AC made a whining noise all night.

Extremely friendly and caring host ! We travelled to Williams to see the Grand Canyon the next day but due to sudden dead weather had to change our plans. Barbara, the host, accommodated us wonderfully and even cleared our car off tons of snow. The Highlander is a lovely, very comfortable and cosy place, and Williams a great small town - worth a visit! We will be back to visit the Highlander and the Grand Canyon next year.

We loved the location of the property. We could walk to everything in Williams. The front desk told us about the town and an old west show we wouldn’t have known about otherwise. We are on a retro Route 66 road trip, so we have been staying in original hotels. This one was a great find - extremely clean and great value!

I wish the decor would be “Route 66” oriented. The owners should play that up, vs random 1980’s art.

Great location, within walking distance to an evening Gunfight show, and tons of restaurants and shops. Owner or manager was very nice and accommodating, didn't rush out the door and asked if we needed any water or anything for the road.

The shower head was leaking and spinning and didn't have a lot of water pressure. I forgot to mention this to management.

The hotel is very clean and staff are very nice. The beds were great. The room has all that we needed and they didn't skimp on quality of soap, towels or bedding, etc. I love being able to park right outside our room so it's easy to run to the car if we need something. We will return when we can. I very much recommend. For the price, the room is great. It was quiet and clean. It's nice to be able to support a local family who is obviously trying hard to keep up with larger hotels.

The a/c in one room was noisy at first but once the room cooled off it was better. The hotel is older but they have worked hard to update it. Our reservation was for one room with two full beds and one room with one queen bed. We were put in two rooms with one queen bed each. It worked ok for us but was not what we expected.

Friendly staff we enjoyed talking to. Priced-right, clean, cozy, comfortable room on Route 66. Great location walking to Safeway, restaurants and stores. Fridge, microwave, coffeemaker with coffee, tea and hot chocolate. Enjoyed our stay this time and every time we’ve stayed here. Love Williams, AZ! Looking forward to our next visit. Elephant Rocks Golf Course is fabulous, have to go to Bearizona and of course, the Grand Canyon! Enjoy all this lovely area has to offer. 😊

Not a thing for us not to like about Highlander Motel and The Westerner across the street.

Highlander Motel far exceeded our expectations of a roadside, drive-up and park style motel. Our room felt really spacious and relaxing to hang out in. We loved the outdoor table and chairs by the door that made an excellent spot to sit and read in the afternoon or to watch a lightening storm. The room had high ceilings that gave it extra roominess and air flowed well through the room via the windows we decided to open. There was plenty of space to hang clothes and a luggage rack was also provided. There were cute artistic touches that made the room more fun. The room had clearly been remodeled from its original state with exposed painted bricks on one side that made the place feel modern and fashionable. The bed was comfortable. Towels were plentiful and soft and toiletries were provided. We appreciated the decent sized fridge en suite. The woman who does the housekeeping is friendly, smart, and and does a great job tidying up. The managers were super friendly and helpful. We loved that the motel provides rags to wipe down your car after traveling through the desert. We had fun spontaneously washing our car in a rainstorm.

It's a stretch to try to imagine what could have been better. Free coffee and donuts in the morning, perhaps? A wine and cheese hour in the afternoon? LOL. Totally unnecessary, of course.

Great location in the center of Williams, historical city located on Route 66. There was very friendly staff and cleaning lady. Price was not high, and what's important heating was in the room (-2 celsius degrees during the night during our stay)

This is not a modern object, more "traditional" motel. Floor was not perfectly clean. We tried to contact with the object before our stay via booking and we received zero response (neither after kind reminders)

The room had everything we needed and everything worked. Excellent budget choice. The air condition worked great (and drowned out noises from outside), the coffee machine include a nice coffee choice, the room was clean and tidy and functional, including fridge, microwave. There were kleenex and toiletries and you could walk everywhere in Williams including the super yummy Indian just down the street at Hunger Square.

A bit of mold in the bathroom tub, you had to stand on a chair to change the air con temp (I'm 5 8 and could barely reach on the in-room chair), wifi really didn't work (only at 6am in the morning).

The people that run the hotel, Kathy and Andy, were very friendly with me at check-in and any time I saw them on the property. The cleaning lady, Sally, was very friendly and did a wonderful job every day cleaning our room and taking care of our needs. We enjoyed having a large bathtub. There are a lot of cable TV channels.

The flooring gets very dirty very quickly. Even though Sally cleans it daily with bleach water, the type of flooring just collects dirt very badly. The deadbolt lock on our door had a problem. The toilet had a bit of a flushing problem.
