Tropic Lodge

The facility was located in an awesome area. There are a lot of restaurants available along with stores like Walmart,Costco, and shopping facilities, as well as the Freeway is near. The cleaning staff was superb. Every day we were there the beds were made the towels were changed and the room was cleaned. The room was huge also send that is a plus.

The only thing that we didn't like is the fact that the ceiling of the bathroom had mold above the shower area and the complete ceiling along with the shower curtain started to smell after we showered for the second day. We never addressed it with management because it was bearable. However, this situation need to be addressed because someone can get sick with the mold.

The room had immaculate floors, beveled wood in bed area, nice marble in sink/make-up area, tiles in bathroom. Refrig and microwave for heating drinks or keeping cool. The building was older, yet in very nice condition.

Internet was very slow and we got dropped and had to re-log in multiple times. (We were at the very back of the property, so that could have been reason) Only one chair at table, so one of us had to be on bed when in room. No coffee pot.

The beds were so very comfortable which was amazing. Being a single mom of two boys along with 3 days of theme parks comfy beds were needed. Also shout-out to the housekeeper who adorably arranged my son's stuff animals every time the bed was maid. To see the delight and laughter it created to come back to the room after a long day and see his stuff animals posed was a memory to last a lifetime.

There was no elevator. It is not a deal breaker for me personally. We stayed for a week. So we had quite a bit of stuff to carry upstairs.

We stood there for over five nights, and they clean the room every day for us as a family of 5 , it was comfortable and the air work just fine

Yes, I did see the wallpaper and some of the corners peeling but that’s totally understandable. They need more of an option for like the vending machine. They only have a soda one

It is about a 20 minute drive to Disneyland, and about 45 to Universal Studios. They have a groundskeeper who came in every day to clean up.

It was located just a few blocks away from several homeless camps, so we would see people standing along the road begging.

Everything is walking distance if you want to eat at a restaurant or go to a grocery store. Cleaning man kept our room clean everyday and provided us with new towels, we appreciate him!

Room looks old and our room was humid, even with the air on blast. Bed made lots of noise but other than that, it was a good place to stay.

We are travelers with two kids: 8 yo and 1,5 yo. Usually, all our trips are full of exploring new places in the area. In this way, we only sleep at night in the room. What did we like about this hotel: - first: nice staff - clean, good size rooms - location, nearby shops, restaurants, buffets, etc. - quiet area All our needs were met.

1. Quiet. 2. Simple layout. 3. Easy in and out. 4. Comfy. 5. 2-5 minute walk to food and stores! 6. Pleasant pool area. 7. A very self-contained little motel. Easy to relax. 8. Easy parking. 9. Shade trees. Good for parking! 10. No weird ppl, no vagrants or thugs. 11. A classy Vietnamese restaurant is a 2 min WALK away! 12. Jack in the Box is a 5 min. walk away! 13. SAFE AREA. 14. Excellent location-great access via surface streets to all sorts of resources/beaches. 15. A microwave AND a decent size fridge!

1. Soda machine broken. 2. Not possible to cancel via the hotel and 2 days thru Booking. 3. No ice machine. 4. No vending machine. 5. Make sure u bring two 6 foot extension cords and power strips so u can charge ur devices while u lay on the bed and fiddle w/them and watch tv.

You won't get a better selection of movie channels anywhere else.

Location.

Nice, simple, quiet, safe. Fair value for the cost. Staff was friendly and helpful. Parking was easy and close to all rooms.

I wish their little pool was useable. It was not listed as available, I just wish it was! WiFi was useable but weak.
