Hampton Inn and Suites Bakersfield North-Airport

This is a seriously underrated hotel! It's was extremely clean, comfortable and quiet. We arrived after a long day of driving from Vegas, to Death Valley to Bakersfield so we we're exhausted. Check in was super quick, our bed was very comfortable and there was no noise whatsoever. I had read reviews about an average breakfast but this was not our experience. Breakfast was exceptional! The selection was simple but delicious -omelette, sausages oatmeal,cereal, bread pastries, waffles, tea, coffee and juices. We had a bit of everything twice, I've honesty never tasted a Breakfast so good.

The bathroom decor is a little outdated but didn't bother us at all

Staff was very friendly and very helpful. The property was extremely clean. The location was very convenient for our plans to visiting numerous family members who live in the Bakersfield area.

We could have had more time to spend in Bakersfield. Next time we will try to plan to stay longer. We will definitely book again with Suites Bakersfield.

This is so far the best place we have slept in the US. Excellent staff! Especially the fantastic Michael who greeted us. Kind, courteous and exceptionally friendly guy. Great wifi, quiet, exceptionally clean rooms and great (by US standards) breakfast. It was a great pleasure to be hosted at this hotel.

Nothing

It’s clean, convenient, close to the airport, free airport transportation, staff are pleasant, and very comfortable, and plenty of eating options within walking distance. And it’s newer, so the facilities aren’t dated. I liked that it had a real shower and not a tub/shower combination.

The bed could have been more comfortable, but that’s just preference. You can sometimes hear some guests going in an out of their rooms late at night.

Location was perfection for travel. I could get a quick breakfast nearby from McDonald’s before getting back on the road. The reception was very kind and I was pleasantly surprised by the size of the room.

Nothing really comes to mind as to what to improve. It was/is COVID era so it was different but just about everything was perfect for a traveler making his way home to surprise the family. It all worked out well. I’ve stayed in smaller rooms for more money, so I was happy about the space I had.

I liked that food was available. I'd suggest having more options - yogurt was included, I'm lactose intolerant - I gave it back to the attendant. I'm guessing that many guests will just throw whatever they don't like.

Reception was very welcoming and got us checked in early so we could change before the wedding.

Old pillows. very heavy comforters for a blanket. Too heavy to be enjoyable.

It was very clean, felt safe.

I didn't like because I am a Bakersfield resident they charged me at $250 holding fee. I think it's really absurd if anything I'm local we should be getting a discount.

The front desk staff was very nice and helpful,, I really appreciate.

The breakfast was poor, it needs to improve , more hot food please.
