Holiday Inn Express Bakersfield, an IHG Hotel

I was disappointed to see the excessive use of single-use plastic at the breakfast buffet. The amount of disposable utensils, plates and packaging was overwhelming and not in line with today's environmental concerns. I hope in the future the hotel can take steps to reduce waste and promote sustainability. Plastic remain plastics for all time. They do not break down to become something else as part of the natural food / waste cycle. They only break down into smaller micro plastics, which are now in our food, water. Micro plastics have even been found in our blood and placenta. It is of the utmost importance that all hotel’s do their bit to reduce their overall plastic use, especially for single-use items. Thanks.

The hotel was clean and comfortable. We only stayed one night as we were passing through but so glad we did. The free breakfast was very good, with a great selection. There is an amazing bar / restaurant close by, which was recommended by the hotel receptionist. A very cool place.

we had part of a family right next door to us, and the rest of the family was on the other side of us. they had young kids that bounced back and forth between the rooms, slamming doors and running up and down the hallway until 10pm. we finally had to call the front desk and complain. we have stayed at this property several times and never had an issue that we needed to complain about. to the staffs credit, they resolved it rather quickly and we were able to get some sleep.

Breakfast was good like a 9 of 10 Location like a 6 of 10 right along train tracks full of construction personnel really it was okay

Okay so the management shared with us that they were holding an additional $150 for a deposit on our stay our money was tight but as of now I do not see any such transaction. My question is did they take an additional amount or not ? Other than that possible misunderstanding things were well good place not the best local no complaints other than potential holding of additional $150

Our recent stay at this hotel was overall very good. We felt safe and comfortable on the convenient property, which offered plenty of space for us to relax and unwind. The pool and jacuzzi were the highlights of our stay. We also appreciated the complimentary breakfast, which offered a good selection of options to start our day.

We were disappointed to find that room service wasn't available after 9 pm when we needed it, and we were told to wait until the morning for an extra blanket.

Very clean!!! At the reception there was a container for clean pens and “dirty” pens so you don’t have to touch pens that other people touched. The room was amazingly clean! Not a speck of dust. Staff were very friendly and accommodating. I’ve been in numerous hotels, but I was shocked at how great our experience was at the Holiday Inn Express, Bakersfield.

The key didn’t work at first.

The breakfast is fantastic not just danishes and coffee but omelets Spanish and plain , sausage ,pancakes milk starts early like six thirty awesome clean room comfy pillows and bed and the hot tub so crystal clean cleaner than even the fanciest hotels I'll be back for sure and casinos only like six or seven mile away thanks holiday inn you took great care of us ,nonie. fiskum67@gmail.com

The staff were very friendly and accommodating. The breakfast was delicious and had a wide variety of options, and the beds were extremely comfortable. The shower felt really good with strong pressure and warm water after the California storm.

The nights receptionist was very dry and kept cutting me off when trying to check in, but the rest of the staff were very friendly.

I like the size of the King Bed room , not cramped. The wood vinyl flooring in the room was nice because old carpets has that stink that never goes away. . The fridge, microwave and coffee maker were definitely a plus. Love the hot breakfast with choices of breads, spread, fruits, drinks etc. Will stay again next time I go to SFO.

The pillows smells old, needs to be thrown away and replaced with new ones.

Clean and comfortable

Could not make the TV work on any channel but FOX News. Seriously? Also surprised by a $150 deposit “hold” on my card….that seemed exorbitant and was not expected. They took it off when I checked out but still seemed ridiculous.
