I liked the location the most, it was off the main busy street and even though a high school was across the street, it was quiet. Transportation was within walking distance and shopping and restaurants were plentiful. And most of all, I really appreciated the early check-in, I arrived early via Amtrak from Seattle, I called the Inn and asked and was told my room was ready. On arrival the lady said even if the room was not ready, I could have left my luggage until later.

Unfortunately there was no microwave- fridge in the room nor a safe. The carpet did not appear clean, it certainly could use a shampoo, vacuuming does not remove stains and embedded dirt.

Can't beat the location and value. Check in was easy, staff were friendly and helpful, room was clean and comfortable. Perfect for an overnight stay or short trip.

Could have used a few more pillows (but the temperpedic mattress was very comfortable). Bottom floor room was convenient but did have a street level window. Not a big deal as there are curtains to let in some light or black it out completely.

The room was very clean and the woman that was in the office was pleasant and helpful. I don't remember that the parking on the website mentioning a "first come, first served" overflow will park on the street. When the hotel is full and if there is no parking, it would helpful to know that is a possibility ahead of time, especially since I was traveling alone and knew that I wouldn't return until later in the evening.

I couldn't get on the internet, but when I realized how nice that was, I didn't pursue the issue with the office. I wish they had a safe in the closet.

The owners and staff are so helpful and friendly and will do whatever you need to make your stay pleasant. The location is perfect for a walk to campus, and we were able to park in the small parking lot each time. The facilities are simple but pleasant. There isn't a microwave or refrigerator, but there is ample space for two people in each room. A great value for sure.

The only things that we found are very superficial which could be solved by the guest. There isn't conditioner -- just shampoo, and a few more pillows would have been helpful along with more towels. These last two items could have been requested, but we made do, and we were fine. The room is exactly what you need.

It was a lovely basic hotel room. There was a cheery bright orange flower painting above the bed, and one wall tastefully painted to match. The cupboard was oddly located - in the middle of the room, so that the tv had to be offset. Not a big deal for us; we didn't use either. It took us a while to figure out how to use the heater, but a quick call to the friendly and responsive staff resolved the issue. The bed was soft and comfortable, and the room was fairly quiet even on New Year's Eve. The location is awesome: only a block or two from all kinds of restaurants and a couple of movie theaters, and 3-4 blocks to much of the campus. For the location, the price was really very good.

The light switch on one of the bedside lamps wasn't working. The weather was cool; the heater made quiet little noises all night as it cycled on and off. I've heard worse in air conditioners, though. Parking is pretty tight. They have 10 spots, but they're narrow and short. They had three free spots when we arrived but we decided we'd rather park in the street, where there was lots of room. Street parking is free after 6pm. There's an event parking lot across the road, so I imagine it could get busy when something is going on.

they were very kind and attentive in everything we need! We feel at home! The rooms are large and comfortable. The region is very silent, in addition to being wonderful. The hotel is close to several restaurants, supermarkets and pharmacies.

Every thing was great!

The location in Berkley was excellent. Very short walking distance to the BART, Univ of Berkley campus, shops and restaurants. Rooms were very clean, very comfortable bed. Room TV nice. Owner very friendly and responsive to patrons needs. Good price for location. Elevator available to get up to 2nd and 3rd floors.

would have liked to have more regular stocking up of coffee supplies for room coffee pot as this was not done due to COVID protocols. Once we requested a restock though it was taken care of very quickly.

The room was very clean but needs updating. The location is near many restaurants and a movie theater. The rate is a good value. There is also limited free parking and an elevator. It's a few blocks away from the Saturday farmer's market.

The room's decor is dated and worn. There is no microwave, refrigerator or ice machine which would be helpful. One of the windows in the room could not be opened.

Cute and very spacious room! Had a comfy modern platform bed instead of a usual mattress/boxspring set up, huge mirrors over the sink and on the closet door, and big windows let in lots of natural light on the third floor (the windows face out and away from the building instead of towards a hallway like so many other m/hotels in this price range we've stayed at so far). Nice tv, nice desk, roomy bathtub and shower, hot water heats up reasonably fast. Thermostat/ac unit up on the wall had a remote control, which was so nice to not have to physically get up in the middle of the night to adjust the temp. It's all about the little things for folks like us who don't usually travel a lot but this summer we had to evacuate from some wildfires up north. Front desk staff were sweet and friendly, housekeeping staff waved and smiled when we passed, other guests in the little parking lot struck up conversation with us too, so overall it's a great vibe here. Looks really imposing from the outside and the parking is pretty limited but feels safer for being almost totally enclosed by the building.

Owner Mrs Patel shared her emigrant American Dream story when I indicated an interest. Really interesting. Despite being located right on a corner location, traffic noise was not an issue. However Berkeley High School right across the street was not in session…
