We stayed in the 3 bedroom mobile, which was huge - it could easily accommodate 6-7 people and probably would not feel crowded. The kitchen had everything we needed and the motel is right next the the gas station which also has a well-stocked market and stays open late (the “front desk” is the gas station checkout!). There is also a regular grocery store across the street that closes early and a coffee shop that will gladly serve you a daily dose of sarcasm! The master bedroom had a huge bath tub and plenty of hot water. Wish I had brought some bubble bath and some epsom salts as I had done a 9-mile hike the day before at high elevation. There is also a BBQ grill and a covered space in the back of the mobile home with a table and chairs. Plenty of parking for multiple cars. Another thing I liked is the mobile home is part of the motel, so no annoying AirBNB or Vacassa nonsense or extra fees to deal with.

Nothing!

This is the second time we stayed at this motel. Good value for money, the guy at the front desk, was very polite and helpful. Really like this place over others because they're dog friendly and there is no extra charge (tired of being fleeced by other hotels for traveling with a dog). Will def stay again should we return to the Big Pine area. The washroom is rather huge so that's a plus too.

The fitted sheet kept coming off with the slightest movement, so maybe time to replace those. (Super annoying) Random side note, please bring cable tv back (streaming services were super slow cuz internet isn't exactly vroom vroom lol)

It is a quaint little motel in a quaint little town. The room has a fridge. It is conveniently located at the gas station/mini-mart. The mini-mart is well stocked. The people are friendly.

The blackout curtain wouldn’t open, which wasn’t that bad but I couldn’t have natural light in the morning. The room was a little rundown and there were holes in the wall in the bathroom and a lot of cobwebs in the corners. If I had paid $30-$40 less I would have expected the rundownness of the room, I suppose.

Everything was exactly as advertised. The room was large enough to accommodate a family of four, and the kids had their own beds. The kitchen was stocked with the essentials, and we were able to cook dinner in the room rather than spend money eating out. Our room was along the backside of the property, away from the road and quiet. Staff was friendly.

I wish the AC had been turned on prior to our arrival, so the room was cooler when we first arrived.

Very comfy bed. Quite air conditioning. Big, clean bathroom. Gas station with food and really nice local coffee round the corner, open until late night. Friendly staff. Perfect location for exploring Bristlecone Pine Forest (the reason we visited the area). Although it's located next to a busy road, we couldn't hear the noise much.

Blinds were not working properly, and it was tricky with so many people constantly passing behind the window. There was a bench right below our window and people would sit there and talk, so it wasn't very comfortable.

Easy and friendly check-in at the gas station next door. The room was clean and comfortable. The price was reasonable and the facilities were as described. The location was perfect. I would recommend booking it for two nights or more, especially if you are planning to stay in the area for more than a day as there are plenty of day trips to national/state parks you can take and maybe use this motel as your base camp. We were going to stay again for another night after visiting the Bristlecone Pines but they were sold out.

No breakfast but the gas station had everything you can think of for a quick to-go breakfast.

We loved the 3rd bed, counter space, and kitchen sink to wash dishes in. The room had a much more homey feel than the places we'd been staying. Quiet, good value.

Some people might not like that the gas station was the front desk, but it worked fine for us. I'd rather pay for a good place to stay without also paying for someone to sit up all night in case I need another towel.

Room was clean and tidy, amenities exceeded what was expected. Location had plenty of parking, friendly staff and very flexible. It had charm and fit the setting and the purpose of our trip ultimately getting into the mountains for backpacking.

I suppose it was odd having to go into the gas station to check-in / get the key but it wasn't inconvenient so not really a con. Some might not like having a chevron station light right outside their window? But I thought it was cool.

We were a bit apprehensive when a sign at the office door told us to check in at the Standard Station Mini-mart on the property. But wow, much better than we expected. For a single level Motel typical in small town America, this one was very nice, well maintained, and kept updated. We had a very clean unit with a large bathroom and a single Queen size bed. I actually measured the bathroom at 5'-6" x 10'. Because of a small town, it is very limited for eating places, but the Italian Restaurant across the street was much nicer than could be expected, with many dish options

Great hotel. Very quiet, check in staff was extremely helpful and friendly. Rooms were comfortable and very clean. My girlfriend forgot her iPhone when we checked out and the cleaning staff had set it aside so we could return and recover it. Definitely would stay here again next time in Big Pine.

Air conditioner was a little loud but really not an issue... bottom line is it was nearly 100 degrees outside and it kept up to keep us cool and comfortable unlike weaker systems in some other hotels.
